COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The North Coast Athletic Conference capped its 20th Anniversary celebration on December 15, 2004, with a reception and dinner honoring its Founders.

More than 60 special guests and current NCAC principals gathered at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in Columbus Ohio to honor the NCAC Founders. 15 of the original 33 founders were able to make it for the special evening.


The evening began with a reception, then, a special program following dinner was highlighted by remarks from the following people: Dale Knobel, Denison and NCAC President, who served as Master of Ceremonies and host for the evening; Dennis Collins, NCAC Executive Director; Al Van Wie, keynote speaker and Founder (former Wooster AD); Lynn Schweizer, Denison Associate Athletic Director and Chair of the NCAC’s Women’s Athletic Administrators; Gordon Collins (Founder/former Wooster FAR); and David Warren (Founder/former OWU & NCAC President, now President of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C.).
