Hiram College has welcomed two new members to its coaching staff for the 2014-15 academic year. Jacqueline Mangola will take over as the 13th softball coach in program history, while Brian O'Neill becomes just the fourth swimming & diving coach in school history.
Mangola, who replaces Kristin Tassey, comes to Hiram after a one-year stay at Muskingum University as a graduate assistant and helped the Fighting Muskies post a 28-18 record in 2014 and finish as the Ohio Athletic Conference regular-season co-champions and OAC Tournament champs leading to an appearance in the NCAA national tournament.
O'Neill will replace long-time head coach and Hiram alum, Jack Groselle '76, who guided the Terrier swimming & diving program for the last 22 years. O'Neill comes to Hiram following a six-year stay at Drew (N.J.) University where he served as an assistant coach for the Rangers. During his tenure, he helped coach 20 swimmers who earned All-Eastern College Athletic Conference honors as well as setting numerous school records.
