    After three seasons as assistant men's and women's tennis coach, Jamie Scott has been promoted to head women's tennis coach at Denison University. Longtime head coach and all-time wins leader, Peter Burling will continue in his role as the head men's tennis coach, a position he has held for 27 seasons.

  • Doug Zipp Named Ohio Wesleyan Athletics Director

    Ohio Wesleyan University today announced the appointment of Douglas W. Zipp as the University's 12th athletics director since Branch Rickey held the position in 1909. Zipp will join Ohio Wesleyan August 15 to lead an NCAA Division III program that will be adding its 24th and 25th athletic sports in 2018 (women's rowing and men's wrestling).

  • Kenyon Leads NCAC In Final Learfield Standings

    Following the completion of the 2016-17 NCAA Division III competition season, four North Coast Athletic Conference schools ranked in the top-65 of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Kenyon ranking 37th out of 325 eligible institutions with 415.00 total points. Schools must have competed in an NCAA Championship event during the academic year in order to compile points in the standings.

    Wooster senior first baseman Jamie Lackner (Westlake, OH/Westlake) and sophomore shortstop Michael Wielansky (St. Louis, MO/Ladue Horton Watkins) earned first-team All-America certificates from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the organization announced on Thursday evening during the opening ceremonies of the NCAA Div. III College World Series. Earlier on Thursday, Lackner also earned a second-team All-America certificate from D3baseball.com.

    Denison senior midfielder Claire Ludlow (Saugatuck, MI/East Grand Rapids) was named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American Squad as a third-team selection. 2017 marks the second consecutive year that Ludlow has been named to the IWLCA’s All-American squad and she becomes the fifth player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors.

    Wittenberg combined to shoot five-under over the final two holes to post a final-round 293 and finish with a four-day total of 1,180 to capture the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III National Title at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. This marks the 67th NCAA team title in NCAC history and the first in men’s golf.

  • Big Red Marches Into National Semifinals

    For the third time in program history and the first time since 2001, Denison men's lacrosse has reached the semifinal round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The Big Red defeated Lynchburg College 18-9 clinching their spot in the national semifinals. That game will take place on Sunday (May 21) at Sea Gull Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland. The game time will be determined on Thursday. Salisbury advanced to the semifinals after a 17-5 win over Cabrini.
