2019 NCAC Health & Wellness Symposium

The NCAC is pleased to host its inaugural Health & Wellness Symposium focusing on the mental health of student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff and administrators.

The Symposium, set for Monday, May 20, 2019, at Ohio Wesleyan will feature speakers presenting on various aspects of mental health. The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a keynote address on managing the loss of athletic identity from Dr. Doug Ramos, Chair of the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports and the Creighton University team physician. Dr. Ramos will also present later sessions on managing injuries. Multiple sessions will be offered throughout the day, including one with a working lunch. The day will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Other speakers and presentations include:
