Pickett & Reid Receive NADIIIAA Honors

The National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) has announced the recipients of this year's NADIIIAA Athletics Administrator Awards. The following individuals are the 2019 award recipients and will receive a $1,000 professional development grant.  

  • Emerging Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional with seven or fewer year's cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level.  
    • Asaundra Pickett, assistant athletics director for internal operations, DePauw University
       
  • Transitioning Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional who has transitioned from coaching or other professional duties to athletic administration and who has seven or fewer year's cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level.
    • Ashley Reid, assistant athletics director for diversity, inclusion, compliance, and internal management/SWA, College of Wooster

"This year's recipients of the Administrator Awards truly demonstrate the values of Division III," stated NADIIIAA Awards Committee Chair and Director of Athletics at Roger Williams University, Kiki Jacobs. "They are great leaders within their athletics department during their short careers as athletic administrators. They will continue to be role models for their student-athletes."

Pickett serves as a member of DePauw's senior athletics administration team and coordinates all facility and travel request, assists with the budget, oversees the Welch Fitness Center and serves as the strength and conditioning coach. In addition to her duties on campus, Pickett is a facilitator for the NCAA Regional Leadership Symposium and has served as a speaker at the NCAA Emerging Leader Symposium and Career in Sports Forum. Reid has seamlessly transitioned from full-time coach to Wooster's first assistant athletic director for diversity and inclusion, while also serving as the SWA. Since moving into her administrative role, Reid's duties have expanded to also include compliance and internal management, while continuing to serve as a conduit between athletics and other campus offices on matters of diversity and inclusion. Both Pickett and Reid will be recognized during the Association Business Meeting at the NADIIIAA Summer Forum, held at the World Center Marriott Resort on Tuesday, June 11.
