Kenyon Men Claim 31st Straight NCAA Div. III Swimming & Diving Title (Mar. 20)
The Kenyon men claimed their record 31st consecutive national championship by a record margin, racking up 696 points after four days of competition. The Lords picked up wins in the 100 freestyle (Turk,
43.79), the 200 breaststroke (Bakk, 2:01.14) and the 400 free relay (Stewart-Bates, Turk, Somers, Withington, 2:55.56 - a Kenyon and NCAA record) on the final night. Denison surged into a second-place finish after seven All-America swims and an eighth place finish in the 400 free relay. The Big Red compiled 272 points and overcame a 10.5-point deficit to top third-place Emory (259.5). Denison overtook Emory for good in the 200 backstroke thanks to a fourth-place finish by Barry and a 15th place finish by DeSantis. The Denison women finished second, piling up 452 points. Zaleski led the way earning an All-America certificate in all seven of her events. She becomes the first 28-time All-American in the history of the Big Red women’s swimming program. On the final night of comeptition, she posted a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke, touching just behind Schroeder for a 2-3 Big Red finish in the event. She also was part of a second-place finish in the 400 free relay with Wangstad, Callen, and Swanson. Emory totaled 568.5 points to take the women's team title. Kenyon (318) was fourth. The Kenyon men carry a 279.5-point lead into the final day of competition after taking titles in the 100 breaststroke (Lazarus, 54.70) and in the 800 free relay (Stewart-Bates, Turk, Preston, Borland, 6:34.71).The Lords have 502 points to Emory's 222.5. Denison is third with 212 points, 10.5 points behind the second-place Eagles. Barry led the Big Red's individual efforts with a fourth in the 100 backstroke. Ohio Wesleyan's Gatz finished 16th in the 100 breast; Wabash's Rhinesmith also competed in the event. The Little Giants' Birrer competed in the 200 butterfly.The Denison women (346 pts.) have narrowed the gap between themselves and leader Emory. The Big Red sit only 25.5 points behind the Eagles after Zaleski successfully defended her 100 back title (55.24) and the foursome of Swanson, Wangstad, Schroeder, and Callen closed the night with a win in the 800 free relay (7:21.23). Kenyon is in fourth place with 224 points. Saiz and Brady placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 200 fly; Oberlin's Aheron also competed in the event.

NCAA Div. III Swimming & Diving Championships (Mar. 18)
The Kenyon men broke two of their own NCAA relay records en route to wins in the 200 free (Somers, Turk, Mpitsos, Ohning, 1:19.05) and 400 medley relay (Mpitsos, Lazarus, Carruthers, Withington, 3:15.48). The Lords extend their lead after day two of the championships with 366 points to second-place Emory's 140.5. Denison (137) moved up one spot into third place. The Big Red's Thurson finished second in the 400 IM, while the team of Barry, Lewing, Edgin, and Barczak took third in the 400 medley relay. The Big Red women sit in second place with 251 points - within 46 points of leader Emory. The Big Red took home their second straight 400 medley relay title (Zaleski, Blachly, Rich & Swanson) in 3:43.94. Zaleski is four-for-four, earning All-America status in each of her events thus far. Kenyon (70) is in fourth after day two. The Ladies' Brady clocked a 4:24.27 in the 400 IM for a fourth-place finish.
Oberlin's Aheron competed in the 400 IM.
NCAA Div. III Swimming & Diving Championships (Mar. 17)
The Kenyon men take a 102.5-point lead after the first day as Turk (19.99) and Somers (20.08) finish 1-2 in the 50 free, respectively. This morning, Turk set an NCAA record in the prelims (19.75). The Lords compiled 173.0 points as they also claimed the 200 medley relay title in an NCAA record time of 1:27.74 (Mpitsos, Ohning, Carruthers, and Turk). Denison is fourth with 61 points. The Big Red women sit in second place with 102 points. The Big Red took home their fifth straight 200 medley relay title (Zaleski, Rich, Blachly, Golovkina) in 1:41.92. Kenyon (70) is in fourth after day one; Emory leads the way with 135 points.
Wittenberg's Brym competed in the 50 free.

Allegheny's Dipre finished third in the mile and Denison's Salukombo finished 7th to earn first All-America honor by a male in ITRK for Big Red since 1999; Gators' Symoniak took 12th in the 5000; Wabash's Aouad placed third in the 55-meter hurdles while McCarthy and Waterman were sixth and seventh in the 800-meter run; Earlham's Wertman competed in the shot put.
NCAA Division III Indoor Track Championships (Mar. 12)
Allegheny's Dipre and Denison's Salukombo qualify for the mile championship; Wittenberg's Colbert finished 14th in long jump; Three Wabash athletes advance to the finals for the first time in school history: Aouad in the 55-meter hurdles, Waterman and McCarthy in the 800 meter run; Ohio Wesleyan's Brown, Jolliff competed in the 55-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash, respectively. OWU's Zimmerly competed in the mile.
