Amanda Artman, Wooster Wooster senior forward Amanda Artman (Shaker Hts., OH/Shaker Heights) scored three goals last week, including two in a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Denison. Wooster trailed 4-2 early in the second half before Artman sparked the comeback with a goal at the 23:51 mark. Artman now has 182 points (75 goals, 32 assists), two shy of breaking the school’s long-standing career record, held by Cindy Runnette (184 from 1979-82). She also scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over DePauw. |

Boo Vernon, Wittenberg Wittenberg junior forward Boo Vernon notched a pair of game-winners to help the Tigers to a 2-0 week and a share of first place in the North Coast standings. She scored twice in a 4-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan and added another tally in a 3-2 victory at Kenyon. Vernon added an assist in each game and has now scored in every game since the 2009 opener, a span of 12 games. |

Emily Whitaker, Oberlin Oberlin sophomore attack Emily Whitaker carried Oberlin to its first win of the season by a scoring a career-high three goals, including the game-winner, and dishing out one assist in a 6-2 triumph over Earlham. She also netted one of Oberlin’s scores in a 6-2 loss to first-place Wooster and has recorded eight of Oberlin’s 12 goals on the season, running her points total to 17 on the year. |

Amanda Artman, Wooster Wooster senior forward Amanda Artman tied the NCAC career scoring record with her four-point performance in a 4-3 victory at Ohio Wesleyan. She converted a penalty stroke early in the second half to tie the game 1-1 and then assisted on the go-ahead goal about 11 minutes later. Artman also recorded an assist on an insurance goal with 16:51 remaining. Artman has 165 career points (67 goals, 31 assists), equaling Amy Kraus of Wittenberg’s total from 1994-97. |

Kristen Schneider, Denison Denison senior Kristen Schneider scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 decision over Wooster. The score, which came off a penalty corner with no time left on the clock, ended the Fighting Scots’ eight-game winning streak to start the season. Schneider also scored the Big Red’s first goal of the game and assisted on the second. |

Holly Bacon, Kenyon Kenyon senior Holly Bacon scored the game winner in a 2-1 decision over Denison. It was the Ladies’ first victory of the 2009 campaign, and ended a four-game skid. |

Catie Merrick, Denison In her first collegiate game, freshman Catie Merrick scored the game-winning goal in Denison's 4-3 season-opening victory over Wittenberg. She followed that up with a hat-trick in a 4-2 win at Roanoke. Merrick, who came off the bench in both wins, leads the team with five goals and 10 points. Her performance on Saturday marked the first time a Big Red player scored three goals in a game since Molly McCue in 2007. Denison is off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2004. |
