Wittenberg senior Katie Babcock (Phoenix, MD/Dulaney) scored the only goal 
of the NCAC Tournament championship game with 3:17 left in the first overtime 
period, leading the Tigers to their second straight league tournament title 
and a berth into the NCAA Championships. Babcock, who recorded a goal in 
Wittenberg's 4-3 semifinal win over Denison, was named the NCAC Tournament 
MVP for her efforts.

Wooster sophomore Lindsay Tingley (Rockville, MD/Walter Johnson) contributed 
to three of the Scots’ six scores in the NCAC semifinals. She scored the Scots’ 
first goal of the second half and assisted on two others for a four-point outing.

Denison sophomore Jenny Lacey (Phoenix, MD/Notre Dame Prep) scored three 
times as the Big Red went 1-1 in conference play.  She had the only goal 
in a 1-0 victory over Earlham and accounted for both Denison scores in a 
3-2 loss to Wooster.  She leads the Big Red and is eighth in the conference]
with 1.24 points per game this season.

October 19, 2003

Sophomore attacker Taneen Legree (Christiana, PA/Octorora) of Ohio Wesleyan 
scored twice, including the game-winner, in the Bishops’ one-goal victory 
over first-place Wooster. She also scored once against Kenyon to total 
three goals for the week. The win over the Scots was OWU’s first conference 
win since October, 2001, a stretch of 20 games.

Ohio Wesleyan junior Meredith Bynum (Winston-Salem, NC/Forsyth Country Day) 
scored the game-winning goal for the Bishops in a 2-0 defeat of Seton Hill. 
It was her second straight game-winner, as she also scored the pivotal goal 
in a defeat of Washington & Jefferson a week ago.

Wittenberg junior Jen Meyer (Solon, OH/Hathaway Brown) posted her first two shutouts of the season
for the Tigers.  She led Wittenberg to 3-0 and 2-0 decisions over Ohio Wesleyan and Oberlin, respectively,
and made fives saves in the two games.

September 28, 2003

Sophomore goalkeeper Siv Tang (Malden, MA/Malden) led Oberlin to a pair of NCAC victories last 
week. The Yeowomen shut out both Denison (2-0) and Kenyon (1-0 in overtime). Tang made 10 
saves against the Big Red to hand Denison its first conference loss of the season, then recorded 
17 saves against the Ladies, who were averaging 3.5 goals per game entering the contest.

September 21, 2003

Wooster junior back Kelley Hubbell (Vienna, VA/James Madison) scored once with two assists, 
and recorded two defensive saves in the Scots’ 3-0 week. Hubbell notched two assists in a rout 
of Washington & Jefferson, then had the first goal and had a save in a 1-0 defeat of Oberlin. 
She finished the week by helping limit Wittenberg to nine shots on goal in a 1-0 victory and giving 
the Scots their third shutout of the week.

Wooster senior forward Alanna Tryder (Lincoln, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) scored in all three 
Scots’ games last week.  She had an assist on the game-winner against U. of the South, scored 
unassisted what proved to be the game-winner over Kenyon, and scored one of the Scots’ four 
goals against Earlham.

Earlham senior Logan Fitzpatrick (Franconia, NH/Profile) scored twice in 
the Quakers' first home and conference win over Ohio Wesleyan last week.  
Earlham won, 3-2, in overtime.  She also added a goal in a 3-2 overtime 
loss to Kenyon.  Fitzpatrick ranks third in the conference in scoring 
with four goals in three games (2.67 points per game).
