__________________________________________________________________________ Nov. 7, 2004 Wittenberg senior Blair Ufer (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) led the Tigers to their third straight NCAC Field Hockey Tournament title with two goals and three assists in two games. In the championship game, she scored off a penalty stroke with 19:45 left in the first half to hand Wittenberg its first lead of the game. The Tigers went on to defeat Kenyon, 4-2. Ufer, who found the back of the cage as part of a penalty corner play for the gamewinner in Wittenberg's 3-2 semifinal win over Wooster, was named the NCAC Tournament MVP for her efforts. __________________________________________________________________________ Oct. 31, 2004 Wittenberg senior Blair Ufer (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) scored both of Wittenberg's goals in a 2-1 overtime win over Oberlin, leading the Tigers to their third straight NCAC championship. __________________________________________________________________________ Oct. 24, 2004 Kenyon senior Liz Aragona (Bronxville, NY/Bronxville) assisted on both goals in the Ladies' 2-1 overtime win over Wittenberg. She scored once and assisted on three others. __________________________________________________________________________ Oct. 10, 2004 Wittenberg sophomore forward Katy Barrett (Powell, OH/Watterson) scored five goals during the week, including her first career hat trick in a 5-1 defeat of Centre. She notched the first goal of the game in all three Tiger victories, two of which were in conference play. __________________________________________________________________________ October 3, 2004 Wooster sophomore forward Katy Baron (River Forest, IL/Oak Park-River Forest) scored twice, highlighed by a double-overtime game-winner against Denison. She also added a goal and an assist in her team's defeat of OWU, as the Scots went 3-0 in conference play. __________________________________________________________________________ September 26, 2004 Wittenberg junior forward Julia Wickham (Columbus OH/Grandview) scored the game-winning goal both of the Tigers' conference victories last week. She had the topper in a 3-2 victory over Wooster, and the second goal in a 6-1 rout of Earlham. She totalled three goals and an assist last week, and leads the conference with three game-winners this season. __________________________________________________________________________ September 19, 2004 Denison senior Karen Lancaster (Hurst, TX/L.D. Bell) led Denison to a 2-1 record last week by scoring two goals and adding two assists in the Big Red’s three games. She scored the game-winning goal in the 40th minute against Wittenberg off an assist from freshman Read Powel (Shaker Heights, OH/Hathaway Brown). Lancaster has 48 points in her career. __________________________________________________________________________ September 12, 2004 Kenyon sophomore goalkeeer Kimberly Brown (Landenberg, PA/Sanford School) made seven saves during the Ladies' conference-opening, 2-1 victory over Wooster.
