__________________________________________________________________________ November 6, 2005 Oberlin senior Rosemary Mudry (University, Hts., OH/Laurel) scored two goals in the NCAC Field Hockey Tournament championship, both off of penalty shots, to help lift the Yeowomen to a 3-0 win over Wooster and their first NCAC Tournament title. Mudry also registered an assist in Oberlin's 4-2 win over Denison in the tourney semifinal round. __________________________________________________________________________ October 30, 2005 Kenyon junior Julia Sivon (Bethesda, MD/Walt Whitman) scored once and assisted on another as the Ladies defeated Earlham in both team's regular season finales. __________________________________________________________________________ October 23, 2005 Wooster senior forward Lindsay Tingley (Rockville, MD/Walter Johnson) scored her third and fourth goals of the season, then assisted on another during the Scots' two victories. __________________________________________________________________________ October 16, 2005 Denison senior Jenny Lacey (Phoenix, MD/Notre Dame Prep) led the Big Red to a 1-1 week. She scored her team's only goal in a loss to Wooster, then scored the final goal in a defeat of Earlham. __________________________________________________________________________ October 9, 2005 Oberlin senior defender Rosemary Mudry (University Hts., OH/Laurel School) netted the clinching score in a shootout victory over Wooster. She played all 100 minutes, dictating the pace of the game. Mudry's play also contributed to her team's 3-0 defeat of Denison later in the week. __________________________________________________________________________ October 4, 2005 Wittenberg freshman Mackenzie Huber (Milford, OH/Mount Notre Dame) scored a game-winning goal and set up another game-winner in the Tigers' 3-0 week. Huber assisted on Alison Voigt's (Louisville, KY/Ballard) score that broke a 2-2 tie with 14:47 left to lift Wittenberg to a 3-2 victory over Sewanee. She then put in the decisive score herself with 2:08 left in a 1-0 decision over Oberlin, a match that broke the Yeowomen's six-game winning streak. __________________________________________________________________________ September 25, 2005 Wooster senior forward Katelin Bugler (Peabody, MA/Peabody) scored two late goals, just 1:46 apart, to hand toe Fighting Scots a key 2-0 conference win in their lone match of the week. Bugler?s goal ended a 273:54 scoreless streak for Wooster. __________________________________________________________________________ September 18, 2005 Ohio Wesleyan freshman midfielder Emily Molchan (East Northport, NY/ Northport) converted a penalty stroke during the first minute of the second half to provide the difference in a 1-0 decision over Earlham. She also was one of three players to convert a penalty stroke after overtime had not decieded the outcome against Kenyon, in what resulted in a 2-1 Bishop victory. __________________________________________________________________________ September 11, 2005 Ohio Wesleyan goalkeeper Katie Jones (Pine Plains, NY/Stissing Mountain) was in the nets for the Bishops' first back-to-back shutouts since the 2003 campaign. She faced 27 shots, made 19 saves and allowed no goals in leading her team to two victories. __________________________________________________________________________ September 6, 2005 Meg Reitz (Mansfield, MA/Doherty), a senior from Oberlin, scored a goal and two assists in a 7-1 defeat of Transylvania, then led the way in a 3-2 victory over Centre. She scored twice, including the game-winner, and assisted on the other against the Colonels. For the week, she scored three goals and added three assists as the Yeowomen opened the 2005 season 2-0. __________________________________________________________________________
