Ohio Wesleyan senior Jamison Dague (Columbus, OHG/Bexley) stopped six 
shots to help the Battling Bishops' to a 0-0 double overtime tie with 
Wittenberg in the semifinal round of the NCAC Men's Soccer Tounament. 
Ohio Wesleyan advanced to the championship game, edging the TIgers, 5-3, 
in penalty kicks. Dague had one save in the 1-0 championship game 
victory over Allegheny, helping OWU to its league-record sixth tournament 
title.

Ohio Wesleyan freshman midfielder Chad Baker (Dublin, OH/Jerome) scored 
an insurance goal in a 3-1 win over Hiram and assisted on both goals in 
a 2-0 win over Wittenberg. The two games clinched the Battling Bishops 
the second seed in th upcoming NCAC Tournament.

Denison senior forward Ryan Linn (Zanesville, OH/West Muskingum) scored 
three first-half goals to lead the Big Red to a 3-0 shutout over Wooster 
and a 1-1 week. Linn’s first career hat trick, which included an 
impressive goal off a rare bicycle kick, catapulted him to the top of 
the Denison scoring list this fall as he now has seven goals. He has 19 
goals in his Big Red career. He also leads the Big Red with 16 points (7 
goals, 2 assists).

Oberlin junior John Lindner (Hanover Park, IL/Blenbard North) found the 
back of the net at the 83-minute mark to break a 1-1 tie and hand Oberlin 
a 2-1 upset of 14th-ranked Wittenberg. The win snapped a four-game 
winless streak for the Yeomen.

Earlham freshman Bannett Asingura (Mbarara, Uganda/United World College) 
recorded a pair of goals to lead the Quakers past Oberlin, 2-1 in 
overtime, to win the Freedom Trophy for the first time since the trophy 
was established three years ago by the 1954 Quaker team inducted into 
the Earlham athletics hall of fame in 2005. Asingura gave the Quakers a 
1-0 lead midway through the first half then scored the game-winner 6:26 
into the extra session.

Kenyon freshman forward Tom Nolan (New Hope, PA/Germantown Academy) led 
all NCAC scorers last week with four goals. He notched a pair in Kenyon’s 
7-3 win over Earlham and a pair in the Lords’ 3-0 win over Hiram. He 
helped Kenyon to a 3-0 week, a nine-game winning streak - the program’s 
best in a decade - and the team’s best start since the 1997 squad 
finished 15-3-0. His four goals boosted his season-long production to 
six, which is second best amongst Lords’ scorers.

Ohio Wesleyan senior midfielder Nick Skoczen (Chagrin Falls, OH/Kenston) 
scored twice and added two assists as the Battling Bishops rolled to a 
3-0 week. He helped OWU kick off its NCAC title defense when he put away 
the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Wabash with less than seven minutes 
left in regulation. He then collected a goal and two assists in a 5-0 
defeat of Otterbein.

Kenyon freshman Felix Hoffman (Bergheim, Germany/Trinity-Pawling) had a 
goal in each game last week as the Lords claimed the Knox County Cup 
with a 6-1 win over Muskingum and a 2-0 win over Mt. Vernon Nazarene. 
Hoffman leads Kenyon with nine goals in six games played.

Against DePauw, Wittenberg senior goalkeeper Ben McAnnis-Entenman 
(Portland, OR/Cleveland) left the net to travel up field for a corner 
kick and tied the game after connecting on a header with 1:50 left in 
regulation. The game was then called early in the overtime period due 
to lightning and the teams settled for a 1-1 tie. McAnnis-Entenman 
ended the game with seven saves, and the goal. He saved one shot in 
the Tigers’ 3-0 win over Wilmington, his second shutout in four games.

Wittenberg junior midfielder Matt Borland (Kettering, OH/Alter) earned 
MVP status after leading the Tigers to their first Wittenberg 
Invitational title since 1993. Borland notched two goals, including 
the game-winner, in a 3-1 win over Tri-State and directed the offense 
to a 2-0 win over Otterbein, which had won four of the last five WIT 
Invitational crowns.
