The 26th NCAC Men’s & Women’s Tennis Championships will be held at Denison from Friday through Sunday, April 30 - May 2. The women’s championship will be contested on Friday and Saturday, which will be immediately followed by the men’s championship on Saturday and Sunday. Denison is the defending women’s champion, the Big Red have claimed nine overall titles, and the past eight in a row. Kenyon is the defending men’s champ, and the Lords have claimed seven of the past eight and 12 overall.

ALLEGHENY went 2-1 last week with wins over Wooster and Oberlin before falling to Kenyon ...

DENISON defeated Wooster in its lone match. Sophomore Matt McErlean (Hudson, OH/Hudson) earned his 20th victory of the season. He is now tied for first in Denison history for wins in a season and 18th with 31 career victories. Junior Evan Verbosky (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel Area) picked up his 38th career victory and is now tied for 11th all-time ...

EARLHAM defeated both Mount St. Joseph and Manchester ...

KENYON blanked Allegheny in its lone match. Freshman Paul Burgin (Baltimore, MD/Pikesville) posted a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles as well as winning his match at second doubles ...

OBERLIN fell to Allegheny. Senior Ben Godlove (Forrest Hills, NY/Kew Forest School) and freshman Ben Turchin (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) recorded the lone point at first doubles ...

WABASH blanked Illinois College in their lone match. Freshman Ian Leonard (Bloomington, IN/North) earned his team-leading 20th victory of the season and only dropped one game in the two set victory at first singles ...

WOOSTER lost two matches to Allegheny and Denison last week. Sophomore Matt Hoch (Moon Township, PA/Sewickley Academy) and junior Ethan Arenstein (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) scored the only point of the week in a win at first doubles against Denison.
