NCAC CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS RECEIVE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONORS
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Thirteen North Coast Athletic Conference men's and womens cross country teams have received All-Academic Team honors from the NCAA Division III Cross Country Coaches Association.
To qualify for All-Academic honors, a team must have a grade point average of 3.00 or better. Nationally, the Hiram women boasted the fifth highest grade point average among all Division III institutions. Their 3.64 team GPA was also the highest in the Great Lakes Region. Six other NCAC women's squads were honored for their academic achievements: Earlham (3.54), Ohio Wesleyan (3.51), Wooster (3.492), Wittenberg (3.336), Denison (3.32) and Allegheny (3.19).
Six NCAC men's teams were honored, led by Ohio Wesleyan, whose combined GPA of 3.37 was good enough to tie the Battling Bishops with Haverford College in the 16th spot. Hiram (3.23), Allegheny (3.18), Earlham (3.15), Denison (3.14) and Wabash (3.13) also received honors.
