Allegheny sophomore Ethan Pawlak (Chardon, OH/Gilmour Acad.) was named to the Team of the Week for his performance on the Gators' spring break trip in Tucson, Arizona, it was announced by the website on March 28th.

The Team of the Week recognizes the top performer from across the country at each position during the week of March 20-26.

Pawlak started seven games in center field during the span, and batted .552 (16-for-29) with 10 runs scored and 12 RBIs.  Five of his 16 hits went for extra bases, with two doubles, two triples, and a home run, pushing his slugging percentage to .862 for the week, while he also walked four times to up his on-base percentage on the week to .606.

Pawlak tallied two or more hits in six of the eight games, including a trio of three-hit days.  He opened the week by going 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored in the team's 13-12 comeback win over Luther on Mar. 20.  The next day, in a 20-6 win over Wisconsin-Superior, the sophomore had a two-run triple, while also forcing a bases loaded walk, to finish with three RBIs and two runs scored.  In the Gators' split doubleheader sweep of Hamline and Wisconsin-Superior on Mar. 24, Pawlak went a combined 5-for-9 with two RBIs and a run scored, while he ended the week by going 5-for-8 with a home run, walk, five RBIs, and three runs scored in Allegheny's doubleheader split with Middlebury on Mar. 25.

He helped lead a Gator offense that put up prodigious numbers over its 10-game spring break trip, as the squad batted .417 with 42 extra-base hits, averaging 15.4 hits and 12.8 runs per game.  Of the 11 players to receive at least 16 plate appearances on the trip, eight posted batting averages over .400.
