Google Cloud Academic All-America Teams
The 2019 College of Sports information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-America Baseball Teams were announced on Tuesday, June 4, and Wabash senior catcher Erich Lange (Hamilton, OH/Fairfield) was among the honorees, receiving second-team accolades.
Lange was a political science and German double-major at Wabash, graduating summa cum laude in May with a 3.91 cumulative grade point average.
On the field, Lange led the team with a .393 batting average, while also producing a .489 batting average and a .625 slugging percentage this season. He also produced a team-leading five home runs and 39 RBI. He ranked among the conference’s top 10 in batting average (sixth), on-base percentage (sixth) and slugging percentage (seventh).
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division III Academic All-America® teams program. A total of 33 student-athletes were named to three respective teams of the 2019 Google Cloud All-America ® baseball team.
