The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) was represented by Wabash’s Erich Lange (Hamilton, OH/Fairfield) and Wooster’s Andrew Hill (New Albany, OH/Fork Union Military Academy (VA)) on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, released Tuesday, April 23.
Wabash’s Lange hit .556 in four games against OWU and Oberlin, going 10-for-18 with three doubles and three home runs. He drove in 12 runs and scored 10 times. Lange finished the week with a 1.222 slugging percentage and a .619 on-base percentage.
Hill was unstoppable for Wooster during Sunday's win over Allegheny College, in which he fired The College of Wooster baseball program's 13th no-hitter. Hill threw 96 pitches during his complete-game shutout, during which he struck out three, including the final out of the no-no.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eighth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the eleventh Team of the Week of the 2019 season.
