For the third week in a row an NCAC football player has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. This time the honor went to Wabash sophomore defensive back Brian Parks (Indianapolis, IN/Andrean) for his outstanding performance in the Little Giants' 42-14 win over league-rival Wittenberg.
Parks, who was also named the NCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, intercepted three passes against the Tigers. Parks returned the final interception 30 yards for a touchdown as part of a 21-point fourth quarter that sealed the victory for the Little Giants. The starting cornerback also made six tackles, including five solos, in the victory. He leads the NCAC and ranks fifth in this week's NCAA DIII statistical rankings for interceptions per game.
