    Wittenberg (10-1) senior kicker Will Gingery (Bexley, OH/Bexley) drilled a 37-yard field goal in the fourth overtime possession to lift the Tigers to a thrilling 33-30 win over Thomas More (9-2) in the opening round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Football Championships on Saturday (11/19) in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

As league champions, the Tigers have earned the NCAC’s automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA Division III Football Championships where they will play at Thomas More (9-1) in the opening round on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

The final Saturday of the season will be highlighted by the 123rd playing of the Monon Bell Classic between DePauw and Wabash at 1:09 p.m. in Crawfordsville.

Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments, it was announced by the National Football Foundation (NFF) on September 28th. The NFF named a total of 156 semifinalists from all levels of college football (FBS, FCS, Div. II, Div. III and NAIA).
