DePauw (9-3-0, 7-0-0), Denison (9-1-0, 7-1-0) and Kenyon (7-4-0, 5-2-0) continue to pace the North Coast as the calendar turns to October and the conference gets ready for the second half of the season. DePauw travels to Denison on Sunday, highlighting a week loaded with nine conference contests.

DENISON improved to 9-1 on the season and 7-1 in NCAC action after picking up a pair of NCAC victories over Oberlin, 5-0, and Ohio Wesleyan, 2-1, last week. Big Red senior Katie McMahon (Wilmette, IL/New Trier) scored three goals and added one assist. Fellow senior Taylor Bacon (Mission Hills, KS/Pembroke Hill School) also notched a trio of assists in Denison’s two wins last week. Senior goalie Laura Campbell (Louisville, KY/Kentucky Country Day) earned two victories, including her second shutout of the season.

DEPAUW extended its regular season win streak to eight with a 4-0 win over Wittenberg. The Tigers finished the first half of NCAC play with a perfect 7-0 conference record. Micheline Figel (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park River Forest), Kate Jovanovic (St. Charles, MO/Barat Academy) and Paige Henry (Louisville, KY/Kentucky Country Day) all scored in the win over Wittenberg. Jovanovic had two goals in the contest. Laynie Thomas (Columbus, OH/Columbus School for Girls), Grace Fisher (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph’s Academy) and Chelsea Cutler (Victoria, B.C./Mt. Douglas Secondary) added assists for the Tigers.

EARLHAM dropped a pair of contests last week, falling to Ohio Wesleyan, 3-0, before a, 3-0, setback against Sewanee on Saturday.

KENYON played just one game last week, but made the most of it. The Ladies picked up a 4-1 win over Wooster and remained in third place in the conference standings. Sophomore Maddie Breschi (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) had a goal and an assist in the victory.

OBERLIN fell this week at home to the Big Red of Denison, by a score of, 5-0. The Yeowomen will look to regroup as they start the second half of NCAC play next weekend at home.

OHIO WESLEYAN split a pair of North Coast contest last week, defeating Earlham, 3-0, before falling in a tight contest, 2-1, to Denison. In the win, freshman midfielder Haley Savoie (San Diego, CA/Del Norte) set up the Bishops’ first two goals and sophomore midfielder Venessa Menerey (Columbus, OH/Upper Arlington) was credited with an assist on the third.

With two home games last week,  WITTENBERG took a, 3-0, victory off of Transylvania before losing, 4-0, to DePauw. Junior Beth Warning (Cincinnati, OH/Mount Notre Dame), sophomore Paige Vanerstrom (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and sophomore Andrea Mattingly (Louisville, KY/Mercy Academy) each scored for the Tigers in the victory.

WOOSTER jumped out to an early lead but eventually lost, 4-1, in its lone contest of the week to NCAC rival Kenyon on Saturday. Junior forward Taylor Thorp (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) scored a goal for the fourth consecutive week in the loss.
