Kenyon (5-0, 8-1) continued its NCAC winning streak, stretching it to 15 after a win over Denison (4-2, 6-4), while DePauw (5-1, 6-3) bounced back from its first conference loss of the season to defeat Ohio Wesleyan (3-3, 5-4). The Tigers have now won four of their last five contests. A full slate of NCAC games continue this week with two contest scheduled Wednesday and four more on Saturday.

DENISON moved to 6-4 on the year after a 5-2 loss at Kenyon and a 7-1 win over Transylvania. Abby Martone (St. Louis, MO/John Burroughs School) scored twice against Transy and Gretta Finney (Baltimore, MD/St. Timothy’s School) provided both goals versus Kenyon. DU will take on Wooster and Oberlin this week.

DEPAUW played just one game last week, a 5-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan in which Paige Berliner (New Albany, OH/Columbus Academy) scored three goals, including the game-winner. DePauw returns to action on Wednesday when the Tigers host Earlham.

EARLHAM dropped both its contests last week, falling to Wittenberg, 5-2, on Friday and then 3-2 to Bethany on Saturday. The Quakers return to action on Wednesday at DePauw.

KENYON is riding a seven-game winning streak after knocking off rival Denison 5-2 last week. Sophomore Shannon Hart (Mandara, Harare, Zimbabwe/Hellenic Academy) led the way with three goals in the win. The Ladies’ defense continues to shine, having allowed a conference-best seven goals. Kenyon plays at Wooster and Oberlin over the coming weekend.

OBERLIN hosted Wooster to open the homecoming festivities last Saturday. Maureen Coffey (Manassas, VA/Stonewall Jackson) notched two goals while Sophia Weistien (Manhattan, NY/South Hadley (MA)) and first-year Emma Broun (Rockville, MD/Walter Johnson) registered their first goals of the 2015 campaign, but the Scots outlasted the Yeowomen in overtime, 5-4. First-year Kennedy Kline (Philadelphia, PA/William Penn Carter) earned her first collegiate start in net, finishing with a season-high nine saves. The Yeowomen travel to Bethany (W.V.) College for a midweek matchup on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

OHIO WESLEYAN dropped its lone contest last week to DePauw, 5-2, on Saturday. Sophomore defender Paige Haenig (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) and senior forward Montana Knapp (San Diego, CA/Patrick Henry) each scored for OWU. Haenig scored on a redirection after a penalty corner, and Knapp scored on a breakaway during the second half.

WITTENBERG won its third straight game with a 5-2 victory over visiting Earlham last Friday. Sophomore forward Audrey Coler (Cincinnati, OH/Ursuline Academy) registered two goals in the win. Wittenberg will put its three game winning streak on the line Wednesday when they host Ohio Wesleyan.

WOOSTER notched its first NCAC win of the season when junior midfielder Rachel Wetzel (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) scored unassisted with just 29 seconds remaining in the first overtime to defeat Oberlin 5-4 in the Scots’ lone action of the week. Freshman Rose Taylor (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park & River Forest) had a breakout game, playing a part in all four of Wooster’s scores during regulation as she had a hat trick and assisted on the other goal. Prior to Saturday, she had one goal and two assists through her first nine collegiate games.
