Nov. 7, 2004 Wittenberg senior Blair Ufer (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) led the Tigers to their third straight NCAC Field Hockey Tournament title with two goals and three assists in two games. In the championship game, she scored off a penalty stroke with 19:45 left in the first half to hand Wittenberg its first lead of the game. The Tigers went on to defeat Kenyon, 4-2. She also added a goal and an assist in her team's defeat of OWU, as the Scots went 3-0 in conference play. __________________________________________________________________________ September 26, 2004 Wittenberg junior forward Julia Wickham (Columbus OH/Grandview) scored the game-winning goal both of the Tigers' conference victories last week. She had the topper in a 3-2 victory over Wooster, and the second goal in a 6-1 rout of Earlham. She totalled three goals and an assist last week, and leads the conference with three game-winners this season. __________________________________________________________________________ September 19, 2004 Denison senior Karen Lancaster (Hurst, TX/L.D. Bell) led Denison to a 2-1 record last week by scoring two goals and adding two assists in the Big Red’s three games. She scored the game-winning goal in the 40th minute against Wittenberg off an assist from freshman Read Powel (Shaker Heights, OH/Hathaway Brown).
