2006 NCAC Field Hockey Players of the Week

Denison freshman Kristen Schneider (Columbus, OH/Upper Arlington) 
scored her first career goal in the 24th minute of a 4-2 defeat of 
Earlham, and finished the contest with a hat trick, the first by a DU 
player in nearly two years. She then went on to score both of her 
team’s goals in a 2-0 defeat of Ohio Wesleyan.
October 21, 2006

Wittenberg senior forward Katy Barrett (Powell, OH/Watterson) scored 
three times last week, including a pair of overtime game-winners, as 
the Tigers improved to 5-0 in overtime games this season. Wittenberg 
defeated Denison, 2-1, and Oberlin, 3-2, both in overtime, and secured 
a home game in the NCAC tournament semifinals.

Oberlin freshman Catherine Meredith (Denver, CO/East) scored five goals 
in two NCAC contests for the Yeowomen. She hit the back of the net twice 
in a 4-3 overtime loss to Ohio Wesleyan, then netted three more in a 5-3 
defeat of Earlham. Meredith leads Oberlin with 11 goals on 18 shots this

Junior Caroline Graham (Chadds Ford, PA/Westminster) led Kenyon to a 2-0 
week. Graham scored the game-winners in a 1-0 victory over DePauw, and 
in a 2-0 decision over Ohio Wesleyan, then assisted on the second goal 
against the Battling Bishops.

Earlham senior forward Becca Jordan (Montpelier, VT/Montpelier) scored 
four goals to lead the Quakers to a 2-1 week, including a hat trick in a 
5-1 win over Transylvania. The win was Earlham's first in a little more 
than two seasons, dating back to October 2003. The Quakers followed with 
a 1-0 win over St. Vincent and a loss to Wooster in conference play. 
Jordan leads Earlham with six goals over nine games (0.67 goals per 
game) and 12 points (1.33 ppg).

Wooster freshman Brittany Montgomery (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) scored 
four of the Scots' five goals last week as the Scots won twice in 
conference play and posted a 2-1 overall mark.  Montgomery scored twice 
in a 3-1 defeat of Denison, scored the lone goal in a 1-0 defeat of 
Kenyon, and accounted for her team's scoring in a 2-1 loss to DePauw.

Wittenberg senior Katy Barrett (Powell, OH/Watterson) scored the game-
winning goal in a 2-1 defeat of DePauw, and accounted for the Tigers'
lone score in a 3-1 loss to Rhodes.

Kenyon junior Lauren Keiling (Blairstown, NJ/Blair Academy) led the 
Ladies to a 2-0 week with three goals in a pair of conference victories. 
Keiling scored twice in Kenyon’s 3-0 win over Denison, then notched the 
only score of the game in a 1-0 decision over Wittenberg.

Wooster freshman Brittany Montgomery (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) scored 
twice and assisted on another in her collegiate debut. She helped the 
Scots to a 5-0, season opening victory over Sewanee Sept. 2.
