Wittenberg freshman midfielder Channa Visseren led the Tigers to a pair of NCAC victories last week to secure the No. 3 seed in the NCAC Tournament after defeating DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan. Against DePauw, Visseren scored a pair of goals and then followed that game with a two-goal, one-assist performance versus Ohio Wesleyan. On the week Visseren totaled nine points on four goals and one assist, including scoring the game-winning goals in both contests.

Denison freshman forward Charlotte Godfrey led the Big Red to a pair of important NCAC victories last week to extend their win streak to 11. On Thursday, Godfrey scored a pair of goals in the Big Red’s, 4-2, victory against Ohio Wesleyan. Godfrey then scored two more, including the game-winner, on Saturday to lead Denison to a, 7-2, win against Wittenberg. On the week, Godfrey scored four goals on 14 shots for six total points.

Kenyon senior forward Katelyn Hutchinson scored the game-winner in shutout victories over Earlham and DePauw last weekend. Against Earlham, she drove the left side of the circle and fired her shot between the keeper’s legs. Against DePauw, she took a feed off a penalty corner insert and blasted home her team-leading 11th goal of the season.

Kirsten Audette, Denison
(East Aurora, NY/Iriquois)

Denison senior defender Kirsten Audette scored the game-winning goal 11 minutes into overtime to lead the Big Red to a 2-1 win over Kenyon. Defensively Audette helped Denison turned away the Ladies on all seven of their penalty corners and limited Kenyon to just three shots on goal. Audette then helped lead Denison to a, 2-0, shutout victory against DePauw on the road, limiting the Tigers to just four penalty corners and five total shots with just three on goal. The Big Red have now won seven games in a row and allowed just one goal in their last four contests.

Ohio Wesleyan forward Alexis Roberts led the team with four goals last week as the Bishops posted a 3-0 record and put together their first three-game winning streak since 2015. Roberts opened the week with a pair of goals to lead OWU to a NCAC victory over Oberlin, 3-0. The junior then scored the game-winning goal in the 2-0 non-conference win against Sewanee and wrapped up the week by scoring the opening goal of the Bishops, 3-1, win over Transylvania. Roberts’ fours goals last week bring her total to eight including five in the last six contests.

Denison freshman forward Charlotte Godfrey led the Big Red to a pair of important NCAC victories last week. On Thursday, Godfrey scored an important insurance marker, the first goal of her career en route to a 2-0 victory against Ohio Wesleyan. In the comeback victory against Wittenberg on Saturday, Godfrey scored a pair of unassisted goals in the final eight minutes, including the game-winner in overtime. On the week, Godfrey scored three goals on 12 shots for six total points. 

September 18th

Maite Turlings, Earlham
(Heemstede, Netherlands/Coornhert Lyceam)

Earlham junior midfielder Maite Turlings led the Quakers to their first win against Ohio Wesleyan since 2003 last Saturday, 3-1. Turlings had her hand in al three goals, assisting on the first marker and scoring a pair of her own including the game-winner. In total Turlings finished the week with five points and helped secure a conference victory for Earlham for the third consecutive season.

Hannah Paterakis, Kenyon
(Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West)

Kenyon junior midfielder Hannah Paterakis led the Ladies to 2-1 record last week, scoring a team-high three goals. Against Washington & Lee, a team that beat the Ladies a year ago, Paterakis tallied two goals. She now has four goals this season, which is second in the NCAC. 

September 5th
 

Sydney Schuster, Wooster
(Ann Arbor, MI/Shyline)

Wooster freshman forward Sydney Schuster recorded eight points in her collegiate debut behind three goals and two assists. Schuster scored Wooster’s first goal of an eventual 8-0 win just over 5:00 into the game via a rebound opportunity. She had a hand in three of Wooster’s first four goals via a pair of helpers and led Wooster to the most goals in a game since the 2013 season.
