Recent Oberlin College graduate and cross country and track & field runner Geno Arthur (Camarillo, CA/Rio Mesa) has been selected as the recipient of the 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference Don Hunsinger Award.
After being named to the CoSIDA District 4 Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team in late may, recent Denison graduate Aedin Brennan (Fairport, NY/Allendale Columbia) was one of 15 student-athletes in Division III to be named to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's Track & Field/Cross Country First Team on June 22nd.
On Wednesday night in Atlanta, Denison senior football and track & field athlete Luke Romick (Lebanon, OH/Lebanon) was named the collegiate recipient of the 2016 Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup. Romick was one of five finalists for the prestigious award and was the only finalist from a NCAA Division III institution.
Denison University currently sits in a tie for 24th to lead all North Coast Athletic Conference member institutions in the 2015-16 Division III Learfield Directors' Cup winter standings.

The 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held this weekend, March 4-5, at the Toan Indoor Track on the campus of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. The Wabash men are seeking their sixth-straight North Coast title, while the Ohio Wesleyan women are in search of their seventh league crown in a row and the 10th in the past 11 seasons. Both squads have been tabbed as the favorites heading into this year’s meet based on pre-championship balloting by the league coaches.
The first scoring events of the 2016 NCAC Indoor Track & Field championships will be conducted on Saturday February 27th at Ohio Wesleyan. The men will compete in the heptathlon, while the women will participate in the pentathlon. The 2016 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will then be contested the following weekend, March 5-6, at Kenyon College.
The Ohio-based NCAC track & field squads competed at Otterbein last Saturday for the annual All-Ohio Championships, while DePauw hosted Wabash and 11 other institutions for the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, Indiana. The NCAC Indoor Tack and Field Championships are just under a month away with a busy week ahead. All nine squads will be in action with the Ohio schools traveling to Otterbein for the All-Ohio Championship.
Wooster hosted four NCAC squads last weekend for the Fighting Scots Invitational, with Wittenberg earning first-place honors in both the men’s and women’s standings. A number of the Ohio-based NCAC squads will travel to Granville this weekend as Denison hosts its annual Bob Shannon Invite and the All-Ohio Combined Events meet.
Five NCAC squads-Denison, Kenyon, Oberlin, Wittenberg and Wooster-will compete at the Fighting Scots Invitational this weekend in Ohio as the indoor schedule continues. In all, eight of the nine programs will be competing, with Allegheny and Ohio Wesleyan traveling to the SPIRE Midwest Open and Wabash competing at the Engineer Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman.

It was a light week of NCAC Indoor Track and Field action with just Oberlin and Wooster competing. Next week a number of schools will open the 2016 portion of their indoor schedules, including Ohio Wesleyan, Wooster, Wabash and Wittenberg.
The 2015-16 North Coast indoor track & field season kicked off last weekend with numerous league schools competing at season-opening non-scoring events. Wabash will be the lone NCAC squad in action this week while the rest of the conference will be idle until after the holiday break.
