Wabash freshman Billy McManus helped guide the Little Giants to the team championship at Anderson’s Fred Wilt Invitational after winning the one-mile run in a time of 4:18.85.

 

Nathan Mueller, Wabash
(LaOtto, IN/East Noble)


Wabash freshman Nathan Mueller was second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.35) at the Anderson Invitational, crossing the line with the 15th-best time in NCAA Div. III this season.

 

Andrew Diehl, Ohio Wesleyan
(Marysville, OH/Marysville) 


Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Andrew Diehl won the opening event of the 2012 NCAC Indoor Championships for the second consecutive year with a score of 4,465 points in the men’s heptathlon on Saturday and Sunday at Ohio Wesleyan.

February 19th

Jake Waterman, Wabash
(Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) 

Wabash junior Jake Waterman finished first in the 800-meter run at the DePauw Indoor Classic with a meet-record time of 1:51.94. Waterman was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that set the school record on Friday at the OSU Tune-Up with a time of 3:20.25.

 
 


Shawn Chrapczynski, Oberlin
(Lorain, OH/Amherst Steele)


Oberlin senior Shawn Chrapczynski took third place in the 400-meter run (52.21) and was a member of the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:31.25) on Friday at the Greater Cleveland Championships at B-W.

 


Erik Wall, Ohio Wesleyan
(Delaware, OH/Buckeye Valley)


Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Erik Wall took first in the long jump (20’09.775”) and third in the triple jump (40’02.75”) on Saturday at the Kenyon Classic.

February 12th

Dee Salukombo, Denison
(Lakewood, OH/Lakewood) 


Denison senior Dee Salukombo shattered the school record in the 5,000-meter run (14:24.58) at the BU Valentine Invitational over the weekend. Salukombo finished fourth overall in the event and first among Div. III runners.

 

Victor Banjo, Wittenberg
(Sugarland, TX/Stephen F. Austin) 


Wittenberg sophomore Victor Banjo won the 60-meter dash (6.90) at the All-Ohio Meet with the fifth-best time recorded in Div. III this season.

Jake Waterman, Wabash
(Noblesville, IN/Noblesville)


Wabash junior Jake Waterman broke the school record in the 400-meter dash at the DePauw Small College Invitational with a time of 49.62, surpassing the previous record of 50.00 set by Nathan Bates in 2005. Waterman also a member of the winning distance medley relay (10:45.82).

 

John Haley, Wabash
(Terre Haute, IN/South) 


Wabash junior John Haley posted a sub-50 second time in the 400-meter dash, finishing in third with a time of 49.92. Haley also finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.55), fifth in the 200-meter dash (23.21) and was a member of the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:25.63).

 

Joel Beier, Wabash

Wabash sophomore Joel Beier took first place in the shot put competition at the DePauw Small College Invitational with a winning toss of 47’5.25”

January 29th

Chad Kosanovich, Denison
(Sewickley, PA/Quaker Valley) 


Denison junior Chad Kosanovich won the one-mile run (4:23.09) at the annual DU Lid-Lifter on Saturday  in Granville. His time in the mile is currently the program’s seventh-best clocking all-time. Kosanovich also ran the 1,200-meter leg on DU’s winning distance medley relay (10:29.13).

 

Silas Jolliff, Ohio Wesleyan
(Cardington, OH/Lincoln) 


Ohio Wesleyan junior Silas Jolliff ran key legs on both the winning 4x200-meter relay (1:31.03) and 4x400-meter relay (3:33.19) to help the Bishops earn the team title at the Wooster NCAC Quad. Jolliff also logged strong performances in the 200-meter dash (23.27) and the 400-meter dash (50.61).

 

Jon Rux, Ohio Wesleyan
(North Oaks, MN/Mounds View)


Ohio Wesleyan senior Jon Rux guided the Battling Bishops to the team title at the Wooster NCAC Quad with individual events victories in the shot put (41’02.75”) and the weight throw (49’06.00”).

January 22nd

Jake Waterman, Wabash
(Noblesville, IN/Noblesville)


Wabash junior Jake Waterman won the 800-meter (1.54.4) at the Little Giant Invitational with the fifth-fastest time in the nation to date. He also was a member of the third-place 4x400-meter relay (3:28.00).

 

Ethan Freet, Ohio Wesleyan
(London, OH/London)


Ohio Wesleyan junior Ethan Freet led the Battling Bishops in their victory at the OWU Triangular by winning the 60-meter dash (7.05), 200-meter dash (23.06) and the long jump (20-10.75). He was also a member of the first-place 4x200-meter relay (1:32.66)

 

Trevor Young, Wabash
(Indianapolis, IN/Southport) 


Wabash sophomore Trevor Young posted a first-place finish at the Little Giant Invitational in the pole vault after clearing 14 feet, 5.25 inches.

January 15th

Kevin McCarthy, Wabash
(Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) 


Wabash junior Kevin McCarthy competed in the mile at Indiana University on December 10, and set a school record of 4:05.58 in the event. 

 

Jerry Choi, Oberlin
(New Hyde Park, NY/Herricks) 


Oberlin freshman Jerry Choi ran 8.92 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and 7.46 seconds in the 60 meters at OC’s Dan Kinsey Invitational.

 

 

 

Justen Cox, Wittenberg
(Hilliard, OH/Davidson)


Wittenberg senior Justen Cox won the pole vault at the Capital Challenge. He cleared 4.41 meters.
