2005-06 NCAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - DISTANCE/MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER
Sophomore Molly McGravey (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) of Allegheny was 
third in the mile (5:12.52) and eighth in the 3000 meters (10:39.91) at 
the Kent Tune-Up meet on Feb. 18. 

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - SPRINTS/HURDLES
Earlham freshman Jessica Cane (Milladore, WI/Auburn Dale) was fifth in 
the 200 (27.53) and ran on the winning 4 x 200 meter relay (1:52.71) 
team at DePauw on Feb. 18.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - FIELD EVENTS
Kenyon senior Katie Walker (Columbus, OH/Columbus Academy) won the long 
jump at the Greater Columbus Championships on Feb. 18. Walker’s winning 
jump of 17 feet, 11.5 inches was a school record and met the NCAA 
provisional qualifying standard.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - DISTANCE/MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER
Denison senior Kim Murley (Dalton, PA/Tunkhannock) won the 800 meters at 
the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Northern. She finished with a time of 
2:23.73. 

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - SPRINTS/HURDLES
Wittenberg sophomore Nicole Bailey (Cincinnati, OH/Summit Country Day) won 
the 55 meters at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Northern in 7.46 
seconds.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - FIELD EVENTS
Ohio Wesleyan’s Louise Stepp (Hamilton, OH/Fairfield) placed second in 
the high jump at the All-Ohio Championships, hosted by Ohio Northern. She 
cleared 5 feet, 2.5 inches.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - DISTANCE/MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER
Allegheny junior Rashelle Glass (New Castle, PA/Shenango) won the 800 
meters (2:22.06) and ran on the second-place 4x400 relay (4:18.50) at 
the Case Invitational on Feb. 3. 

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - SPRINTS/HURDLES
Allegheny freshman Katie Stewart (Warren, PA/Warren) was third in the 
55 meters (7.69) and fourth in the 200 meters (27.67) at the Case 
Invitational on Feb. 3.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - FIELD EVENTS
Allegheny sophomore Emily Pfeufer (St. Mary’s, PA/Elk County Catholic) 
won the triple jump (11.07m/36-4) and provisionally qualified for the 
NCAA Championships in the long jump (5.43m/17-9.75) with a third-place 
finish at the Case Invitational on Feb. 3.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - DISTANCE/MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER
The Oberlin 4x800-meter relay of freshmen Flannery Cerbin (LaCrosse, WI/
LaCrosse Central), Carmen Welton (Madison, WI/West), Nicole Ouellet 
(Dunbarton, NH/Goffstown) and sophomore Anna Chernin (Ann Arbor, MI/
Pioneer) won the event with a time of 10:17.35 at the NCAC Relays hosted 
by Denison.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - SPRINTS/HURDLES
Denison seniors Meagan Coneybeer (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown) ran 8.99 and 
Brie Jaquette (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour) ran 9.07 for a combined winning 
time of 18.06 in the 55-meter hurdle relay at the NCAC Relays hosted by 
Denison.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - FIELD EVENTS
Allegheny sophomore Liz Early (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) threw for a 
distance of 39' 2.5" and freshman Sarah McMahon (Whitehouse Station, NJ/
Pingry School) threw for a distance of 34' 10.5" for a combined winning 
distance of 74' 1" to win the shot put relay at the NCAC Relays hosted 
by Denison. In a meet at Penn State on January 27, Early set a new school 
record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 
20-pound weight throw with a toss of 50' 6".

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - DISTANCE/MIDDLE DISTANCE RUNNER
Ohio Wesleyan freshman Catie Coleman (Lodi, OH/Lodi) won the mile in 
5:22.70 at the Denison Lid-Lifter on January 21, establishing a new field 
house record. Coleman also was on the winning 4x400-meter relay (4:29).

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - SPRINTS/HURDLES
Wittenberg sophomore Nicole Bailey (Cincinnati, OH/Summit Country Day) 
won the 55-meter dash at the Marietta Open on January 21, with a time of 
7.47. Bailey also won the event at the Otterbein Invitational on January 
14, with a time of 7.67.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK - FIELD EVENTS
Wooster senior Jill Berner (Dunkirk, NY/Fredonia) won the pole vault at 
the Oberlin Quad on 1/21/06 with a vault of 10' 0".
