Denison junior Aedin Brennan won the NCAC Indoor Track & Field pentathlon for the third year in a row last weekend after re-setting her own conference record with a total score of 3,573 points.

February 23rd

 

Marisa Brown, Allegheny
(Littleton, CO/Heritage)

Allegheny senior Marisa Brown led the Gator running continent by competing against all three NCAA classifications at the Kent State Tune-up. In the mile, she was the top D-III finisher, taking fifth overall with a time of 5:07.8, the third-fastest time recorded in the event in the NCAC this season. She also set a new career best in the 800, turning in a time of 2:21.3 to lead all D-III runners.

 

Emma Levant, Kenyon
(Vashon, WA/Charles Wright Academy)

Kenyon junior Emma Levant posted the Ladies top individual finish at the Kenyon Classic by winning the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 9.43.

 

Annie Goodridge, Oberlin
(Boston, MA/Windsor School)

Oberlin freshman Annie Goodridge posted three top-three finishes to help lead the Yeowomen to a first-place finish at the Greater Cleveland Championships last weekend. Goodridge posted second-place finishes in the triple (10.41) and long jump (4.94m) as well as a third-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.42m.

Carey Lyons, Oberlin
(Tacoma, WA/Stadium)

Oberlin senior Carey Lyons became just the second female in school history to run a sub-five minute mile, as she clocked in at 4:59.28 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite. The unconverted mark currently ranks as the fifth fastest in the country.

 

Brea Medlock, Wittenberg
(Galena, OH/Big Walnut)

Wittenberg junior Brea Medlock captured event titles at All-Ohio in the 200-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay. She broke her own school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.82, which ranks 13th nationally, and tacked on a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash at 1:00.09.

 

Aedin Brennan, Denison
(Fairport, NY/Allendale Columbia)

Denison junior Aedin Brennan scored 18 points and set one school record at the All-Ohio Championship. Brennan won the triple jump with a leap of 37’11.25”. That mark surpassed her previous school record jump of 37’1”, set at last year’s NCAC Championship. Brennan also finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.31.

Abbi Boss, Denison
(East Aurora, NY/East Aurora)

Denison senior Abbi Boss earned a third-place finish in the 800-meters, crossing the line in a time of 2:27.48 to help lead the Big Red to fifth-place finish at the Bob Shannon Invite. Boss also ran a leg on the winning distance medley relay.

 

Sara Johnson, Ohio Wesleyan
(Dublin, OH/Coffman)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Sara Johnson captured the 60-meter hurdles dash (9.12) and finished second in the 60-meter dash (8.10) at the Bob Shannon Invite. Johnson also ran a leg on the winning 4x200-meter relay squad.

 

Hilary Coady, Wooster
(Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia/Choate Rosemary Hall - Conn.)

Wooster junior Hilary Coady earned third-place out of 15 competitors in the pentathlon portion of the All-Ohio Championships with a school-record score of 3,201 points.

February 2nd

 

Carey Lyons, Oberlin
(Tacoma, WA/Stadium)

Oberlin senior Carey Lyons led the Yeowomen to a team title at the Wooster Fighting Scots Invite, taking home first-place in the 3000-meters with a time of 10:23.14, winning the race by 54 seconds.

 

Brea Medlock, Wittenberg
(Galena, OH/Big Walnut)

Wittenberg junior Brea Medlock captured event wins in the 200-meter dash (26.34) and the 400-meter dash (60.42) at the Wooster Fighting Scots Invite. Medlock also ran a leg on the winning 4x200 and 4x400-meter realy squads.

Savannah Moore, Wooster
(Burbank, OH/Northwestern)

Wooster sophomore Savannah Moore set a school record in the weight throw (42 feet, 10.75 inches) during a third-place effort in that event and was runner-up in the shot put (37 feet, 8.5 inches).

Sarah Fowler, Ohio Wesleyan
(Fredericktown, OH/Fredericktown)

Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Sarah Fowler led the Battling Bishops to a team title at the Wooster Quad after winning the mile in a time of 5:20.77.

 

Jonah Edwards, Kenyon
(Charlotte, NC/Providence Day)

Kenyon freshman Jonah Edwards captured event wins in the 60-meter dash (7.96) and the 200-meter dash (26.46) at the Wooster Quad meet.

 

Aubri Caslin, Allegheny
(Columbus, OH/Centennial)

Allegheny sophomore Aubri Caslin led the Gators to a second-place finish at the Wooster Quad meet. Caslin was also a two-time winner, taking first in both the shot (37-6.75) and weight throw (49-4.50).

January 19th

 

Abbey Warth, Ohio Wesleyan
(Massillon, OH/Massilon)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Abbey Warth led the Battling Bishops to a team title at its own OWU-Triangular last weekend after picking up a pair of event titles. Individually, Warth won the 800-meters in a time of 2:21.79 and ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team that posted a time of 4:14.85.

 

Paris Nahas, Wooster
(Massillon, OH/Tuslaw)

Wooster junior Paris Nahas shined in the Scots dual meet victory over Oberlin, beating eight other competitors in the 60 meters while setting a school record in the process with an 8.13 time and also won the 300 meters (45.87). As a relay member, she led off the winning 4x200 (1:51.27).

Elizabeth Obi, Wooster
(Solon, OH/Solon)

Wooster freshman Elizabeth Obi posted a pair of top-two individual finishes to help guide the Scots to a dual meet victory over Oberlin. Obi finished first in the triple-jump with a mark of 9.95m and second in the high-jump after clearing 1.95m.

Margaret Miller, Oberlin
(Atlanta, GA/Marist)

Oberlin senior Margaret Miller put together an impressive showing at the Dan Kinsey Invitational last week, registering three first place finishes. Miller earned first in the 60-meters (8.26), 200-meter relay (1:55.71) and the 400-meter relay (4:28.29). Miller also earned second in the 200-meters with a time of 28.45.

 

Ana Richardson, Oberlin
(Eugene, OR/South Eugene)

Oberlin freshman Ana Richardson recorded a lifetime best to win the weight throw at the Dan Kinsey Invitational with a mark of 14.3m. Richardson also earned a second-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.72m.

Ohio Wesleyan junior Sara Johnson won a pair of events to lead the Battling Bishops to the team title at Capital’s Purple & White Invitational. Johnson broke the tape in the 60-meter hurdles (9.21) and the 200-meter dash (26.35).

Oberlin freshman Monique Newton topped the school-record in the shot put in her first collegiate meet with a toss of 45’08.50”.
