DePauw junior guard Luke Lattner (Hinsdale, IL/Fenwick) was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division III National Player of the Week on February 23rd.
Lattner led the Tigers to a 114-110 triple overtime win over Wabash in his only game for the week ending Feb. 21. In the game, he led all scorers with 55 points and added 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
His 55 points and 19 field goals made set a new single game school record, one that was held for nearly 47 years by Tom McCormick when he scored 45 against Ball State in 1969. The 55 points became a new Neal Fieldhouse record as well as a NCAC record, dethroning Ohio Wesleyan's Scott Tedder when he scored 50 in 1987.
