OWU's Axelrod Named To National Team of the Week

Ohio Wesleyan University junior point guard Nate Axelrod (Dublin, OH/Coffman) was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of January 15th, it was announced by D3hoops.com on January 16th.

Axelrod, a guard, scored 10 points during a 15-0 run that gave Ohio Wesleyan the lead for good in an 84-78 win at Hiram on Wednesday. He finished with a career-high 39 points after going 15-for-21 from the field, which included a 4-for-9 clip from three-point range. 

He then drilled a three-pointer during a 10-0 run that put the Bishops ahead to stay in a 107-83 win over Allegheny on Saturday. He finished with 12 points and 8 assists. 

On the week, Axelrod averaged 25.5 points per game and was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
