KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Wednesday, Mar. 13, the Division III All-District teams and coaches. The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) was represented by Wabash’s Jack Davidson (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) as the Great Lakes District Player of the Year and first-team member while Wittenberg junior Connor Seipel (Columbus, Ohio/Groveport Madison) achieved second-team loreals.
Davidson was named the Player of the Year and voted to the first team after averaging 25.1 points per game for Wabash, 10th-best in NCAA Division III. He shot 93.1 percent from the free throw line, connecting on 202 from the charity stripe this season. He also broke the all-divisions NCAA record for consecutive free throws at 95 in-a-row. Davidson was also named to the D3hoops.com All-Region first team and was tabbed the NCAC Player of the year this season.
Seipel was named an All-Great Lakes District second team member in his junior season, the first designation of his career. The Columbus, Ohio, native, was top-five among conference players in both scoring average (17.7) and rebounding average (10.3) this season. Seipel was also named to the D3hoops.com All-Region first team and was an All-NCAC first team selection.
