DU's DeCamp Earns National Honor From USILA

On the same day that he was named the 2017 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Year, Denison sophomore Henry DeCamp (Washington, D.C./Deerfield Academy) was named the Division III South Region Offensive Player of the Week by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) and BSN Sports for games played between April 24-30.

DeCamp was named MVP of the 2017 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament after collecting 17 ground balls, scoring a goal and winning a remarkable 34-of-43 faceoff attempts in the two tournament games combined. He won 17-of-23 faceoff attempts in DU's 16-8 win over Ohio Wesleyan in the championship game on Sunday. He also scored the second goal of the game after winning the faceoff to put the Big Red up early by a 2-0 margin.

In Wednesday's 21-3 semifinal win over Wooster, he scooped up nine ground balls and won 17-of-20 faceoff attempts.
