  • NCAC Collects IMLCA West Region Honors

    Ohio Wesleyan senior midfielder Peter Hamblett (Portsmouth, NH/Portsmouth), Denison sophomore Peter Pitroff (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Country Day) and the OWU coaching staff all garnered major IMLCA West Region awards announced by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

    Allegheny College has announced the hiring of Tommy Pearce as the first varsity men's lacrosse head coach in school history.
  • Denison Leads NCAC In Final Learfield Standings

    Following the completion of the 2017-18 NCAA Division III competition season, four North Coast Athletic Conference schools ranked in the top-70 of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Denison finishing 44th out of 323 eligible institutions with 382.00 total points. Schools must have competed in an NCAA Championship event during the academic year in order to compile points in the standings.
  • 13 Named To USILA All-American Squad

    Led by Ohio Wesleyan senior Peter Hamblett (Portsmouth, NH/Portsmouth) being named the Division III Specialty Player of the Year, 13 total NCAC men's lacrosse players were named to the 2018 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Div. III All-America Team, it was announced by the organization on May 25th.
  • Denison Wins Record 16th NCAC All-Sports Title

    Denison won two outright league titles in men's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse, shared the league title with Kenyon in field hockey and posted 14 additional top-five finishes during the 2017-18 academic year to win its league-leading 16th North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.
  • OWU Falls To Gettysburg In Quarterfinals

    Senior midfielder Peter Hamblett (Portsmouth, NH/Portsmouth), junior midfielder Cole Jamieson (Okemos, MI/Okemos), and junior attacker Jack Jeschke (Syracuse, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) rang up fourth-quarter goals to bring Ohio Wesleyan within 7-5, but third-ranked Gettysburg withstood the Ohio Wesleyan comeback to defeat the 11th-ranked Bishops in an NCAA Division III Tournament quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Ohio Wesleyan Marches Into NCAA Quarterfinals

    In a battle of NCAC opponents, Ohio Wesleyan defeated Denison, 11-10, in Saturday’s NCAA Third Round contest at Piper Stadium in Granville, OH. The Bishops will now face Gettysburg in a quarterfinal matchup at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Gettysburg, PA.
  • Denison & OWU To Meet In NCAA 2nd Round

    North Coast Athletic Conference tournament champion Denison (15-3) earned its third-straight bid into the 36-team NCAA Div. III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, while Ohio Wesleyan (15-3) earned a berth into the tournament field with one of the nine at-large bids. 2018 marks the first time since 2012 that the North Coast will be represented by multiple teams in the national field.

    Ohio Wesleyan senior Peter Hamblett (Portsmouth, NH/Portsmouth) and the Denison duo of junior Henry DeCamp (Washington, D.C./Deerfield Acad.) and sophomore Peter Pittroff (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Country Day) were named the Players of the Year to highlight the 2018 All-North Coast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse team after balloting by the league coaches.
  • Denison Wins 4th NCAC Tournament Title

    Second-seeded Denison (15-3) captured its third-straight NCAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament title after knocking off top-seeded Ohio Wesleyan (15-3) by a 14-7 margin in the championship game on Saturday afternoon at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio.

    As we enter the final week of the 2018 NCAC men’s lacrosse season, nationally-ranked Ohio Wesleyan (6-0, 12-2) controls its own destiny for the program’s 20th league championship and its second title in the last four years. The seeds for the conference tournament will be announced this week as the NCAC regular season schedule officially comes to a close on Saturday.

    Denison junior attack Brooks Davy (Wilmington, NC/Episcopal) and DePauw sophomore goalie Charlie Robson (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) were both named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Div. III Team of the Week for games played between April 2-8.

    Nationally-ranked Denison (4-0, 10-2) and Ohio Wesleyan (4-0, 10-2) currently share the top spot in the NCAC men’s lacrosse standings; however, that tie will be broken this Sunday as the Big Red are set to host the Bishops at 1:00 p.m. in Granville.

    Ohio Wesleyan University junior Max Tennant (Englewood, CO/Cherry Creek) has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Division III Team of the Week for games played between March 26 - April 1, it was announced by the USILA.

    Ohio Wesleyan (3-0, 9-2), Wooster (3-0, 7-3) and Denison (2-0, 8-2) all remain undefeated in conference play and sit atop the NCAC standings heading into another full week of league play. This week, OWU hosts Wittenberg (2-1, 4-5), the Big Red hosts Hiram (0-3, 5-4) and travels to Oberlin (0-3, 5-5), while the Scots host Kenyon (2-1, 6-3) and DePauw (0-2, 3-8).
  • NCAC Pair Named To USILA Team of the Week

    Ohio Wesleyan junior Steven Hildebrand (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) and Wooster freshman Shaun Peirce (North Attleboro, MA/Bishop Feehan) were both named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week for games played between March 19-25. This marks the third time this season that multiple players from the NCAC have been named to the USILA Team of the Week.

NCAC action continues this week, highlighted by Denison (1-0, 6-2) visiting Wittenberg on Saturday.

III Team of the Week as Denison junior faceoff specialist Henry DeCamp (Washington, DC/Deerfield Academy) earned the honor this time following his performances in wins last week against Albion, 18-1, and DePauw, 16-2.

    North Coast men’s lacrosse teams kicked off the league portion of the 2018 schedule in earnest last week with Denison (5-0, 1-0) knocking off DePauw (3-3, 0-1) on Saturday and Kenyon (4-2, 1-0) taking down Wabash (1-4, 0-1) on Sunday. NCAC play continues this week with four games scheduled on Saturday.

    Denison (3-0) and Ohio Wesleyan (4-1) picked up victories over top-20 teams last week, highlighted by the Bishops’ 12-11 overtime triumph over the defending national champions, Salisbury. North Coast men’s lacrosse squads dive into the league portion of the 2018 schedule this week as DePauw (2-2) travels to Denison on Saturday and Kenyon (3-1) hosts Wabash (1-2) on Sunday.

    Denison sophomore attack Peter Pittroff (Charlotte, NC/Country Day) and Ohio Wesleyan junior attack Max Tennant (Englewood, CO/Cherry Creek) were both named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week for games played between February 19-25.

    Denison (2-0), Oberlin (1-0), Wooster (1-0), Kenyon (2-1) and Ohio Wesleyan (2-1) are the five NCAC squads over .500 after another week of non-conference play. Going into the final week of non-conference action before league play begins on March 10th, all nine league teams will be in action this week, highlighted by No. 1 Salisbury visiting Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday.

    Kenyon senior attack Josh Galardi (San Francisco, CA/University) was named to the United Sates Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Div. III Team of the Week, it was announced by the association on Tuesday, February 20th.

    Six of the nine NCAC men’s lacrosse teams that were in action last week combined for a 3-4 record against non-conference foes, led by 4th-ranked Denison (0-0, 1-0) knocking off 20th-ranked Washington & Lee, 12-10 on Sunday.

    After reaching the semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament last spring for the third time in school history and the first since 2001, North Coast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse coaches have unanimously selected Denison as the favorites for the 2018 league championship based on preseason balloting.
