Wooster sophomore Shaun Peirce and Denison junior Peter Pittroff were named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week on Tuesday, April 16.

Peirce's career-high eight goals during Wooster's 19-7 win over Wabash College on Saturday were one shy of Tom Bennett's single-game program record set against Dickinson College in 1992. Wooster players have scored eight or more goals just four times in program history, and Peirce as the first Fighting Scot to do so since Colin Hartnett against Washington & Jefferson College in 2002.

For the week, Peirce tallied 13 goals, with his other five coming during Thursday's 17-11 win over Whittier College, during which the Scots handed the Poets their second loss of the season.

This is Peirce's second time earning a spot on the USILA Team of the Week.

Pittroff totaled 14 points across both contests.  Against Kenyon, he scored two goals and posted five assists helping the Big Red to a 15-12 win over the Lords.  On Saturday against Whittier, he scored three goals and added four assists, moving him to 210 points in his career.  Only a junior, Pittroff sits in sixth place in career points at Denison.  He is just 11 points shy of moving into the top-3.

This is the fourth USILA Team of the Week member from Denison this season.  Pittroff has garnered the award twice, in addition to Brooks Davy and Henry DeCamp.
