KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches released the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer All-America Teams and Kenyon teammates Bret Lowry (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) and David Anderson (Urbana, Ill./Urbana) were both named to the second-team.
In addition to the All-America honors, Anderson was named an All-Great Lakes Region First-Team selection and tabbed the NCAC Midfielder of the Year in 2018. He led the team with 13 goals including two in the NCAC Tournament final against Ohio Wesleyan. He also produced two assists for a Kenyon offense that finished the year with 74 goals and 196 points, the second-highest single-season marks in program history.
Lowry also earned all-region honors for the third-consecutive season and NCAC Defender of the Year. He was an anchor for a Lords defense that recorded 13 shutouts, the second-highest total in a single season. He helped the Lords finish with a 0.56 goals against average, which ranked 10th in the nation and tied for the fourth-best single-season mark in program history. Lowry also added three goals, two of which were game-winners.
