The United Soccer Coaches released the 2019 NCAA Division III men’s soccer all-region teams on Monday, Nov. 2, and nine North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes were named to the Great Lakes Region teams.
Seven conference athletes achieved first-team honors including Ohio Wesleyan senior Joe Brush (Lawrenceburg, IN/) and sophomore Hector Gomez (Columbus, OH/St. Francis DeSales), along with Wabash junior Chad Wunderlich (St. Louis, MO/John Burroughs School) and senior Michael Tanchevski (Crown Point, IN/Crown Point). Kenyon also had a pair of selections in junior Sam Hosmer-Quint (Columbia, MO/Hickman) and sophomore Scott Upton (Perrysburg, OH/St. Francis DeSales), while DePauw senior Jay Klein (Wyoming, OH/Wyoming) rounded out the first-team all-region selections.
The all-region second team included Ohio Wesleyan senior Brady Whittekind (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) while Bishop junior Ryan Huelsman (Powell, OH/Columbus St. Charles) was tabbed to the third team.
