Kenyon opened the 2017 North Coast softball season last weekend in Tennessee against Rhodes and Webster. This week, Kenyon and Hiram embark on their spring break trips as the Ladies head to Florida and the Terriers take off to Arizona for a number of games. Oberlin and DePauw kick off their campaigns this week as the Yeowomen head to Virginia and the Tigers travel to Kentucky.
ALLEGHENY will open the 2017 season on Tuesday, March 14th at Washington & Jefferson.
DENISON will open the 2017 season on Sunday, March 12th at Chapman.
DEPAUW will open the 2017 season on Saturday, March 4th versus Trine at the Transylvania Tournament.
HIRAM will open the 2017 on Sunday, March 5th, on its spring break trip in Tuscon, Arizona against Concordia.
KENYON got the 2017 season underway with a four-game, weekend set in Memphis, Tennessee. The Ladies lost Saturday games to Webster and host Rhodes by respective scores of 11-10 and 13-7, but the Ladies returned to the diamond Sunday to earn a split, losing to to Webster, 6-5, and defeating Rhodes, 12-8. Freshman Lauren Graf (Allen Park, MI/Cabrini) had a monster start to her collegiate career, hitting .588 (10-of-17) throughout the weekend. She scored six runs, had four RBI and produced a .647 slugging percentage.
OBERLIN will open its season in Emory, Virginia, on March 4th against Marietta and Emory & Henry.
OHIO WESLEYAN will open the 2017 season on Monday, March 13th, on its spring break trip in Clermont, Florida against St. Mary’s at 8:00 a.m.
WITTENBERG will open the 2017 season on Monday, March 6th, on its spring break trip in Clermont, Florida against John Carroll at 1:00 p.m.
WOOSTER will open the 2017 season on Monday, March 13th, on its spring break trip in Fort Myers, Florida against St. Scholastica at 9:00 a.m.
