Recent Denison University graduate and swimming student-athlete Jason Wesseling has been selected as the recipient of the 2018 North Coast Athletic Conference Don Hunsinger Award.
Led by Kenyon senior swimmer Julia Wilson (Bethesda, MD/Sidwell Friends) being named the 2017-18 Division III Women's At-Large All-American of the Year, seven total NCAC athletes were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Men's & Women's Academic All-America At-Large Team, it was announced on Tuesday, June 12th.
Following the completion of the 2017-18 NCAA Division III competition season, four North Coast Athletic Conference schools ranked in the top-70 of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Denison finishing 44th out of 323 eligible institutions with 382.00 total points. Schools must have competed in an NCAA Championship event during the academic year in order to compile points in the standings.
Denison University Assistant A.D. for Communications, Craig Hicks was the recipient of the 2018 Spring Division III and D3SIDA Recognition Award. Division III and D3SIDA applauded Hicks for his outstanding work for his story titled: "Denison All-American Hannah Rusinko refuses to let Tourette's define her" The story was exceptionally well done and chosen by a selection committee of D3SIDA members as the best work this spring season.

The Ladies accumulated 70 total points after winning the 800 free relay with an NCAC-record time of 7:24.71, while the Lords sit in first place with 151 points thanks in part to a first-place finish in the diving well and a second-place showing in the 800 free relay.

However, numerous squads also had events cancelled or postponed on Saturday due to inclement weather in the Great Lakes region. There are now 11 events on the schedule in the week ahead, highlighted by Denison traveling to The University of Pittsburgh on Friday and Wooster hosting Allegheny and Ohio Wesleyan for a tri-meet on Saturday.

Denison sophomore KT Kustritz (St. Paul, MN/Insight School) continues to take the Division III swimming world by storm. After her record-breaking performance at last weekends Miami Invitational, Kustritz was named the CollegeSwimming.com Division III Women's Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season and the fourth time in her career.
