    The Wabash College men's squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women's team captured the 2014 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field team titles on Saturday at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Wabash, which earned its fourth-straight team title, accumulated 282 team points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (178.50) for the team title, while Ohio Wesleyan earned its sixth-straight women's title after earning 229 points to edge out Oberlin (124) for the team title.

    The 30th annual North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held this weekend, May 2-3, at the Bob Kahn Track & Field Complex on the campus of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. The Wabash men will look to claim their fifth-straight North Coast title, while the Ohio Wesleyan women look to capture their sixth-straight league crown. Both squads have been tabbed as the favorites for this year’s event based on pre-championship balloting by the league coaches.

    The first scoring events of the 2014 NCAC Track & Field championships will be conducted this weekend, April 26-27. The site of the combined events is may change to Ohio Wesleyan if Kenyon hosts the Men’s Lacrosse Tournament Championship on Saturday. The final site will be finalized Wednesday night. The men will compete in the decathlon, while the women will participate in the heptathlon. The 2014 NCAC Track & Field Championships will then be contested the following weekend, May 3-4, at Oberlin College.

League squads will return to the circuit this weekend, led by Kenyon hosting its annual home invitational on Saturday in Gambier.

Allegheny highlighted the weekend’s performances by finishing second in both the men’s and women’s standings at the Carnegie Mellon Mini-Invite. Action resumes across the conference this weekend with four schools hosting events on Saturday, including DePauw, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg.
