The Wabash College men's squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women's team captured the 2014 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field team titles on Saturday at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Wabash, which earned its fourth-straight team title, accumulated 282 team points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (178.50) for the team title, while Ohio Wesleyan earned its sixth-straight women's title after earning 229 points to edge out Oberlin (124) for the team title.
Wabash and Ohio Wesleyan were followed in the men's standings by Allegheny (94), Oberlin (61), Wittenberg (59), DePauw (52), Denison (33.5), Wooster (33) and Kenyon (24). Ohio Wesleyan and Oberlin were followed in the women's standings by Denison (102), Allegheny (97), Wittenberg (87), Wooster (68), DePauw (58) and Kenyon (50).
Women's Most Valuable Performers:
Women's Sprint/Hurdles - Denison senior Tiffany Davis (Madison, TN/Pope John Paul II) earned her third consecutive Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year award after setting individual NCAC records in the 100 (12.17) and 200-meter dash events. (24.66). Davis was also a member of the Big Red's 4x100 meter relay that placed second in 48.60.
Women's Distance - Ohio Wesleyan senior Cara DeAngelis (Norton, OH/Ellet) won the women's 1,500-meter run in 4:37.48 and also broke the tape in the 5,000-meter run with a winning time of 17:17.20.
Women's Field - Denison sophomore Aedin Brennan (Fairport, NY/Allendale Columbia) earned her second consecutive Field Athlete of the Year award after winning the triple jump (36'09.00"), 400-meter run (56.97) and setting the NCAC record in the heptahalon after tallying 4,860 points. Brennan, who accumulated the most individual points (46.5) at the championship meet, also finished second in the long jump (16'05.75") and sixth in the javelin (112'01.00").

Men's Most Valuable Performers:
Men's Sprint/Hurdles - Ohio Wesleyan freshman Colin McShane (Columbus, OH/Olentangy) won both the 100 (10.92) and 200-meter (22.31) dash events. He was also a member of the Battling Bishops' winning 4x400- (3:19.59) and 4x100 (41.75)-meter relay squads.
Men's Distance - Allegheny senior Bobby Over (Wadsworth, OH/Wadsworth) set the NCAC record in the 5,000-meter run with a winning time of 14:51.99. He also won the 3,000-meter steeplechase after breaking the tape in 9:00.14.
Men's Field - Wabash junior Derek De St Jean (St. John, IN/Hanover) won his third-straight Field Athlete of the Year honor after winning three of the four throwing events, including the shot put (52'01.75"), discus (160'07.00") and hammer (180'11.00"). His toss in the hammer re-set the previous league record of 179'03.00" set by Ohio Wesleyan's Kyle Faris in 201.
