  • Wooster's Joe David Named Academic All-American

    The College of Wooster's Joe David was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America Team® for NCAA Div. III men's cross country/track & field, receiving third-team honors, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday.

    The 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District men's and women's track & field/cross country teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
  • Brennan Leads NCAC Contingent At National Meet

    The 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships concluded on Saturday (5/23) afternoon at the Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex in Canton, New York. Following the three days of competition, nine NCAC student-athletes combined for 10 All-American performances, highlighted by Denison junior Aedin Brennan (Fairport, NY/Allendale Columbia) capturing the women’s national title in the heptathlon with 5,091 points.
  • NCAC Sweeps USTFCCCA Regional Awards

    The 2015 regional athletes and coaches of the year for the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Tuesday, May 19, by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and in dominating fashion, the NCAC swept all four major awards in both genders in the Great Lakes Region.
  • NCAC To Be Well Represented at 2015 National Meet

    The 2015 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships will be held this weekend (May 21-23) at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. The North Coast Athletic Conference will once again be well represented at the national meet as eight of nine institutions that sponsor track & field will have at least one representative. A total of 26 NCAC student-athletes will compete in New York.
  • OWU Women; Wabash Men Claim Track & Field Titles

    The Wabash College men's squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women's team captured the 2015 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field team titles on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. Wabash, which earned its fifth-straight team title, accumulated 256.5 team points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (193) for the team title, while Ohio Wesleyan earned its seventh-straight women's title after earning 251 points to edge out Oberlin (133) for the team title.

    The 31st annual North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held this weekend, May 1-2, at the George Gauthier Track & Field Complex on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio. The Wabash men will look to claim their fifth-straight North Coast title, while the Ohio Wesleyan women look to capture their 10th-straight league crown. Both squads have been tabbed as the favorites for this year’s event based on pre-championship balloting by the league coaches.

    The first scoring events of the 2015 NCAC Track & Field championships will be conducted this weekend, April 25-26, at Oberlin. The men will compete in the decathlon, while the women will participate in the heptathlon. The 2015 NCAC Track & Field Championships will then be contested the following weekend, May 1-2, at Ohio Wesleyan.

    The Ohio-based NCAC track & field squads competed at Ohio Wesleyan last Saturday for the annual All-Ohio Championships, while DePauw hosted Wabash and a grouping of HCAC institutions for the Indiana Division III Championships in Greencastle, Indiana. League squads will return to the circuit this weekend, led by Kenyon hosting its annual home invitational on Saturday in Gambier.

    North Coast schools had a busy weekend on the track & field circuit as four league teams hosted home events, led by Ohio Wesleyan capturing both team titles at the annual Marv Frye Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. The Ohio-based NCAC squads will again travel to Ohio Wesleyan this weekend for the All-Ohio Championships, while DePauw will host Wabash and a grouping of HCAC institutions for the Indiana Division III Invitational.

    North Coast track & field teams battled a late spring snow storm over the weekend while in competition at several different events. Wooster highlighted the weekend’s performances by finishing first in both the men’s and women’s standings at the Wooster Invite. Action resumes across the conference this weekend with four schools hosting events on Saturday, including DePauw, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg.
