Allegheny senior Ryan Hanson (Presto, PA/Chartiers Valley) placed ninth of 89 runners in the 1500 meters at the Hillsdale Invitational. His time of 3:53.76 met the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

  Wabash senior Emmanuel Aouad (Terre Haute, IN/South) placed third in the 110-meter hurdles (14.70) and 400-meter hurdles (53.93) at the Purdue Invitational. He met national qualifying marks in both events.   Wittenberg senior Tim Uher (Granville, OH/Pickerington North) won the NCAC Decathlon title at the conference’s multi-event championships. He scored 5,466 points to top the competition.

Denison sophomore Makorobondo Salukombo (Lakewood, OH/Lakewood) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Division III All-Ohio Championships. He finished with a time of 9:22.21.

  Ohio Wesleyan senior Steve Brown (Redford Township, MI/Redford) set a meet and school record in the 110-meter hurdles at the Division III All-Ohio Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. His time of 14.48 second was also an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.   Wooster senior Eric Dyer (Lexington, MA/Lexington) placed third in the triple jump at the Division III All-Ohio Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.

Wabash freshman Jake Waterman (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) won the 800 meters at the Indiana Little State Championships with a time of 1:52.79. He was also part of the second-place 4x400-meter relay that finished in 3:16.62.

  Ohio Wesleyan senior Bryce Mathias (Centerburg, OH/Centerburg) won the 400-meter hurdles (55.83) at the Marv Frye Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. He was also part of the first-place 4x400-meter relay (3:21).   Earlham junior Chad Wertman (Holland, IN/Southridge) placed second in the shot put at the Indiana Little State Championships. His throw went 53 feet, 6.5 inches (16.32 meters), and broke a 43-year-old school record.

Allegheny senior Ben Eyer (Lilitz, PA/Manheim) won the 1500 meters at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational. His time of 4:02.82 topped a field of 34 runners.

  Oberlin sophomore Shawn Chrapczynski (Amherst, OH/Amherst-Steele) competed in the 100 (11.11), 200 (22.09) and 400 (50.95) at the Duke Invitational April 2-3. He placed in the top 15 in all three events, highlighted by a 12th-of-45 finish in the 400 meters.   Earlham senior Chris Shaw (Anderson, IN/Pendelton Hts.) was third in the discus (164-3/50.06m), fifth in the shot put (44-6/131.56m) and ninth in the hammer (129-11/39.61M) at the Anderson Invitational on April 1. His effort in the discus met the NCAA provisional standard.

Allegheny junior Chris Marker (Arlington, VA/Yorkstown) won the 5,000 meters at the Washington & Lee Carnival on March 26. His time of 14:45.58 met the NCAA provisional-qualifying standard and set a meet record.

  Ohio Wesleyan freshman Matt Martin (New Brighton, PA/Riverside) was second in the 400 meters (50.20) and was part of the second-place 4x400 relay (3:21) at the Cedarville Invitational on March 27. He also finished the 200 meters in 22.74 seconds, good for 10th of 58 runners.   Ohio Wesleyan senior David Burke (Hudson, OH/Hudson) won the triple jump ( 13.78 meters/45 feet, 2.5 inches) and was second in the long jump (6.61m/21-8.25) at the Cedarville Invitational on March 27.

At the Cincinnati Early Bird Relays, Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Kyle Lemke (Loudonville, OH/Loudonville) placed sixth in a field of 41 runners in the 800 meters. He postd a time of 1:56.78.

  Wabash junior Wes Chamblee (South Bend, IN/St. Joseph’s) won the 400-meter hurdles (54.62), and was part of the first-place 4x400 (3:17.62) and second-place 4x100 (42.82) relays.   Ohio Wesleyan senior Kyle Faris (Olmsted Falls, OH/Olmsted Falls) met NCAA Division III Provisional Qualifying marks in both the hammer and shot put at the Cincinnati Early Bird Relays. His throw of 54.84 meters (179-11) was good for third place in the hammer, while his toss of 16.50 meters (54-1.5) was the top effort in the 36-man field.
