Denison junior Kate Benson won the 1,500-meter run at the Big Red Invitational posting a personal-best time of 4:53.51.

Subei Kyle, Kenyon
(Woodacre, CA/ Marin Academy)

Kenyon sophomore Subei Kyle won the 400-meter dash at the Big Red Invitational crossing the line in 1:01.71, a season-best time for the Ladies.

Aedin Brennan, Denison
(Fairport, NY/Allendale Columbia)


Denison junior Aedin Brennan won the NCAC Outdoor Track & Field heptathlon for the third-straight year after totaling 4,850 points at Oberlin last weekend.

April 20th

Katie Reid, Ohio Wesleyan
(Marion/Harding)

Ohio Wesleyan senior Katie Reid took home second-place in the 800-meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 2:12.40, to help guide the Bishops to a third-place finish at the Polar Bear Invite hosted by Ohio Northern.



Paris Nahas, Wooster
(Massillon, OH/Tuslaw)

Wooster junior Paris Nahas finished second in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes with times of 12.77 and 25.67, respectively, to help lead the Scots to a fourth-place finish at the Kenyon Spring Invite. Nahas’ 200 time is currently the fastest in the NCAC this season.

Rachel Gutish, DePauw
(Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North)

DePauw freshman Rachel Gutish broke her own school record in the pole vault with a vault of 3.60 meters to place second at the Rose-Hulman Twilight. Her vault currently ranks first in the NCAC and 18th nationally.

April 13th

Carey Lyons, Oberlin
(Tacoma, WA/Stadium)

Oberlin senior Carey Lyons bested her own school record by four tenths of a second with a time of 10:49.39 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the non-scoring Bucknell Outdoor Classic which is currently the third fastest in Division III this season.

Aedin Brennan, Denison
(Fairport, N.Y./Allendale Columbia)

Denison junior Aedin Brennan paced the Big Red capturing two event championships with a pair of school-record performances at the All-Ohio Championship. Her first victory came in the triple jump where she successfully defended her title with a personal-best mark of 37’11.25”. That mark was a .75” improvement on her previous school record mark set in 2013 (36’10.50”). Brennan also re-set her own school mark in the 400 hurdles with a winning time of 1:01.96, shaving almost two seconds off the previous record.

Monique Newton, Oberlin
(Sacramento, CA/Rancho)

Oberlin freshman Monique Newton lead the Yeowomen to a sixth place finish at All-Ohio as she set a new school record in the shot put with a winning toss of 43-05.75, while also placing second in the discus with a school-record throw of 140-05.

April 6th

 

Abbey Warth, Ohio Wesleyan
(Massillon, OH/Tuslaw)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Abbey Warth finished second in the 1,500-meter run crossing the line in 4:37.15 at the Marv Frye Invite to help lead the Bishops to victory. Warth also ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team that broke the tape in 4:02.03.

Mallory McCormick, Ohio Wesleyan
(Gahanna, OH/Bishop Hartley)

Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Mallory McCormick set PRs in both the 200 (26.85) and 400-meter races (1:00.58) at at the Marv Frye Invite. McCormick also ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team that broke the tape in 4:02.03.

Arlesha Cospy, Denison
(Trotwood, OH/Trotwood-Madison)

Denison freshman Arlesha Cospy turned in a pair of third-place finishes and outdoor PR performances at the Marv Frye Invite hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. In the discus, Cospy topped out with a mark of 125’, which landed her in third place on the school’s top performer’s list, while her toss of 38’ in the shot put landed her in fourth on the program’s list.

March 30th

Sarah Jane Kerwin, Oberlin
(Carrboro, NC/Chapel Hill)

Oberlin senior Sarah Jane Kerwin bested multiple Division-I opponents in the women’s 5,000 meters at the (NTS) Winthrop Invitational to finish second and post a lifetime best. Kerwin finished the grueling trek in 17:36.00.

Sara Johnson, Ohio Wesleyan
(Dublin, OH/Coffman)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Sara Johnson finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.01 and ninth in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.76 at the non-scoring Black & Gold Invite, hosted by Vanderbilt University.

Ana Richardson, Oberlin
(Eugene, OR / South Eugene)

Oberlin freshman Ana Richardson finished third in the discus (41.50m), setting a new school record in the process last weekend at the (NTS) Winthrop Invitational.

March 23rd  

 

Katie Reed, Ohio Wesleyan

Ohio Wesleyan senior Katie Reed helped the Bishops to a third-place finish this past weekend at the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational. Reed won the 1500-meter run by breaking the tape in 4:53.07. She also finished third in the 400-meter dash.

 

Emma Levant, Kenyon
(Vashon, WA/Charles Wright Academy)

Kenyon junior Emma Levant posted a personal record and currently the top 100-meter hurdles time in the league this past weekend at the unscored 49ers Classic with a time of 15.68.

 

Sarah Alflen, Ohio Wesleyan

Ohio Wesleyan junior Sarah Alflen finished third in the discus (38.86m), sixth in the hammer (42.31m) and seventh in the shot put (11.30m) last weekend at the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational.
