The DePauw women's basketball team was tabbed to repeat as league champions in the 2014-15 North Coast Athletic Conference preseason basketball poll, based on balloting from league coaches.

DePauw, which is the three-time defending NCAC women's champion, took eight of the possible nine first-place votes cast by league coaches for 78 total points. Ohio Wesleyan was second in the poll with 71 points, while Denison landed in the third position with 60 points after earning the final first-place vote. Allegheny was fourth with 49 points, followed by Wittenberg (47), Kenyon (42), Oberlin (30), Wooster (16) and Hiram (12).

The DePauw Tigers return 10 letterwinners and two starters from last year's team that posted a 30-2 record en route to their second-straight NCAA regional final appearance along with their third-straight NCAC regular season and tournament championships. Senior Savannah Trees (Libertyville, IL/Libertyville) {right}, a 2014 All-NCAC first-team selection, returns as the Tigers' leading scorer after averaging 14.3 points a year ago by shooting 47 percent (167-of-351) from the field, while also dishing out a team-best 2.3 assists per contest. Senior Emma Ondik (Naperville, IL/Central) also returns as a scoring threat for DPU this season. She finished the 2013-14 season with 66 three-pointers, hitting 46.5 percent from beyond the arc, which ranked sixth in Division III. She also posted a 4:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. In addition, senior Hannah Douglas (Pendleton, IN/Pendleton Heights) returns after averaging 8.8 points and sharing the team lead with 15 blocked shots. Kris Huffman returns to the sidelines for her 22nd season at the helm as the program's all-time winningest coach with a 496-104 career record, including a 264-32 mark in conference games.

The 2014-15 season begins on Saturday, November 15. The NCAC Tournament will be held at the end of February with the men’s and women’s semifinals and championships at the site of the respective high seeds on February 27th and 28th.
