Denison's Holmes Collects All-American Honors

After putting together one of the best women's basketball seasons in recent history, Denison junior post Jordan Holmes (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) was properly recognized on three different All-American teams over the past week.

On Monday, March 21, she was named the HERO Sports Division III Women's Basketball Player of the Year. She was also a first-team honoree on the organization's Div. III All-America Team.

She was then named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Div. III All-American team on Friday, March 18. Holmes is one of 40 players to earn the national honor and one of 30 who received honorable mention status.

Finally, she was named to the D3hoops.com Div. III Women's Basketball All-America Team as a fourth-team-selection on Tuesday, March 22.

Holmes, who also earned the 2016 NCAC Player of the Year award, averaged 15.9 points, 17.8 rebounds and 6.5 blocks in 28 games this season.  She will enter her senior year needing only 28 blocked shots and 262 rebounds to become Division III's all-time leader in both categories.
