The North Coast Athletic Conference was well represented on the
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)
All-Region selections, released on May 12th. A total of 14 NCAC
student-athletes were named to one of the two All-Great Lakes
First-team selections included Kenyon senior midfielder Alex Bair (Darien, CT/Darien), Allegheny sophomore attack Mackenzie Bell (Akron, OH/Walsh Jesuit), Kenyon senior defender Susie Gurzenda (Somerset, PA/St. Andrews), Wooster sophomore midfielder Ellie Hudson Heck (Medina, OH/Medina), Wittenberg senior midfielder Allie Marousek (Ballston Lake, NY/Portsmouth (NH)), Allegheny senior defender Carly Minsterman (Pittsburgh, PA/Seton-La Salle), Wittenberg senior midfielder Francine Murzynski (Mentor, OH/Lake Catholic), Wooster junior defender Molly Sennett (Rochester, NY/Brighton) and Wittenberg junior attack Logan Warye (Maineville, OH/Kings).
The five NCAC student-athletes named to the second-team were Denison junior attack Molly Chapman (Greenwich, CT/Millbrook School), Allegheny freshman goalkeeper Kaelin Clogan (Pittsburgh, PA/Pine Richland), Wooster senior attack Eliza Perry (Southport, CT/Proctor Academy), Denison junior midfielder Whitney Powel (Shaker Hts., OH/Westminster School, CT) and Denison junior defender Isabel Swicklik (Baltimore, MD/Friends School).
The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2014. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Monday May 19. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday June 7, 2014 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
