Denison (13-5), which earned the NCAC’s automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Div. III Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, saw its first season under head coach Amanda Daniels come to an end following a 13-5 second round loss to No. 12 Washington & Lee Saturday on May 10th in Lexington, Virginia

Sophomore Carol Allen (Nashville, TN/Ensworth) tied the game at one, scoring at the 23:31 mark, however the Generals would score the next six goals en route to taking an 8-2 lead at the half. Allen finished the contest with a team-high two points on two goals.

Washington & Lee outshot Denison, 24-12, and had a 12-8 advantage in draw controls. The Generals also were successful on 20-of-22 clear attempts, while DU went 12-for-23 in clears. The periodical rain showers forced both team to commit 46 combined turnovers.
