2016 IWCLA Division III Postseason Honors
Denison junior midfielder Claire Ludlow (Saugatuck, MI/East Grand Rapids) was named to the 2016 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American Squad as second-team selection to lead all NCAC players in the 2016 IWLCA postseason honors.
Ludlow was named to the 42-player, All-American squad after leading the team in draw controls with 64. She was also second on the squad in goals scored with 39 and was second in assists with 20. She was also a force on the defensive end, causing 14 turnovers to go along with scooping up 27 ground balls.
In addition, it was announced earlier in May that Ludlow and 12 additional NCAC women's lacrosse players were named to the IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Team.
Of the 13 players named to the All-Great Lakes Region team, 10 were selected to the top squad, including Ludlow, Denison senior attack Carol Allen (Nashville, TN/Ensworth), Allegheny senior attack McKenzie Bell (Akron, OH/Walsh Jesuit), Wooster junior defender Wynn Boehmcke (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes), Kenyon sophomore attack Kat Englert (Centennial, CO/Arapahoe), Denison freshman defender Jane Goodspeed (East Grand Rapids, MI/East Grand Rapids), Wittenberg senior midfielder Carrie Kubasta (Medina, OH/Medina), Wittenberg senior attack Olivia Lash (Cleveland Hts., OH/Cleveland Hts.), Kenyon senior midfielder Jane Symmes (Concord, NH/Concord) and Allegheny junior defender Jessie Thiessen (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel).
The three NCAC players named to the second team included Denison sophomore defender Grace Gavula (Glenview, IL/Loyola Acad.), Wooster senior midfielder Ellie Hudson-Heck (Medina, OH/Medina) and Wittenberg junior attack Becca Joseph (Toledo, OH/St. Ursula).
