Denison senior midfielder Claire Ludlow (Saugatuck, MI/East Grand Rapids) was named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American Squad as a third-team selection. 2017 marks the second consecutive year that Ludlow has been named to the IWLCA’s All-American squad and she becomes the fifth player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors.
Ludlow was named NCAC Offensive Player of the Year after scoring 45 goals and added 25 assists to pace the Big Red with 70 total points. She also finished second on the team in draw controls with 43. Ludlow closes her Denison career ranked second all-time in goals (177), assists (71) and points (248), and third in draw controls with 165.
Denison finished the 2017 season with a 15-4 record. They won the NCAC regular season and tournament championships to advance to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year. The Big Red was awarded a home game in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1994. In four seasons under head coach Amanda Daniels, Denison has gone 52-22 (.703) with four conference tournament championships.
