Oberlin has gotten off to its second-straight 3-0 start and the third time in the last four years after defeating Otterbein, 19-4, on Thursday. The Yeowomen have outscored their opponents, 58-8, to open the season, led by junior Natalie Rauchle (Edina, MN/Edina) with 12 goals. Non-Conference play continues this week with all nine North Coast squads in action.

ALLEGHENY picked up a non-conference win over W&J last week, 17-3. Shelby Piper (Littleton, CO/Chatfield) finished the game with eight points on four goals and four assists. Maddie Olson (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) assisted on four, while also adding a goal. Alexa Maloney (Philadelphia, PA/Methacton High School) and Taylor Vigneri (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) each had a hat trick.

DENISON opened Spring Break with an 8-7 win over Springfield College. Denison trailed, 7-6, but Leah Israel (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Canbrook Kingswood) and Claire Ludlow (East Grand Rapids, MI/East Grand Rapids) scored the next two goals to earn the win. Ludlow paced the Big Red with three goals and one assist.

DEPAUW opened the season with a 7-6 home win over Illinois Wesleyan. The Tigers trailed, 3-2, at the half, but outscored the Titans, 4-1, over a 10-minute stretch of the second half. The Tigers game at Mount Union was postponed due to weather with a possible reschedule date to come.

HIRAM picked up a win in its lone matchup last week, defeating Heidelberg, 21-3, on Sunday afternoon. The Terriers tallied the second-most goals in program history, as both junior Sierah Ray (Tallmadge, OH/Stow-Munroe Falls) and senior Autumn Osgood (Hyde Park, VT/Lamoille Union) broke the school record for goals in a game with seven each. Osgood also shattered the mark for assists (6) and total points (13).

KENYON kicked off the 2017 season with a tough slate of game in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Ladies lost to Haverford, 16-9, and No.13 St. John Fisher, 19-2, before bouncing back with a trip-ending 10-7 victory over Bridgewater State. During that three-game set, senior Allie McLane (South Hamilton, MA/St. George’s) paced the Kenyon offense with nine points on six goals and three assists.

OBERLIN has out-scored its opponents 58-8 through the first three games, which includes a 19-4 win over Otterbein this past week. Senior Sara Phister (Phoenix, AZ/Mountain Pointe) led Oberin with five points one a goal and four assists, while Maggie Mullard (Boxford, MA/Phillips Exeter Academy), Sydney Garvis (Lexington, VA/Rockbridge County) and Hayley Drapkin (Boulder, CO/Boulder) each posted a hat trick.

OHIO WESLEYAN earned an impressive 18-6 non-conference victory last week against Mount St. Joseph in the Bishops lone game. Freshman midfielder Sloane Baumgartner (Naperville, IL/St. Francis) led the Bishops with six goals and two assists, while Mickey Rice (Louisville, KY/Kentucky Country Day School) finished with four goals. Sophomore Kelly Coffyn (Bainbridge Island, WA/Bainbridge) stopped six shots in the Ohio Wesleyan crease.

WITTENBERG concluded its spring break trip in Texas with a 2-1 mark last week, picking up victories against Piedmont and Southwestern, before falling to Lynchburg. Sophomore Emily Wadds (Cincinnati, OH, Wyoming) led the Tigers on the week with 11 goals and four assists for a total of 15 points.

WOOSTER was idle last week.
