Oberlin (2-0), Denison (2-1) and Hiram (2-1) are the three NCAC squads over .500 after another week of non-conference play. Going into the final week of non-conference action before league play begins on March 17th, six of the nine league teams will be in action with a number teams on spring break trips. 

ALLEGHENY will open the 2018 season on Wednesday, March 7th, at home against Washington & Jefferson.

DENISON went 1-1 on the week, rallying to defeat Redlands at home, 11-9, on Thursday night, and then losing at No. 1 Gettysburg, 17-4, on Sunday. Sophomore Kiely Noonan (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) led the Big Red over Redlands with four goals on 10 shots as Denison finished the game on a 4-0 run, including a go-ahead goal from freshman Liza Farnham (Barrington, RI/Moses Brown), to win 11-9.

DEPAUW is 0-3 on the season after a two-goal loss to North Central. Sarah Ramsey (Westerville, OH/Olentangy Orange) leads the Tigers with six goals including four in the North Central game.

HIRAM posted a pair of non-conference victories last week, defeating Thiel on Monday and Muskingum on Wednesday. Sierah Ray (Stow, OH/Stow-Munroe Falls) was outstanding in the two wins, totaling 11 goals, three assists, 17 draw controls and five caused turnovers to lead the Terriers.

KENYON split a pair of non-conference contests last week. The Ladies lost at Mount Union, 18-6, on Wednesday, but bounced back Saturday with a home-opening 19-16 win over Calvin. In those two games combined, senior Kat Englert (Centennial, CO/Arapahoe) tossed in eight goals and served up two assists.

OBERLIN opened the season by defeating OAC foes Baldwin Wallace and Otterbein. The Yeowomen earned a 19-11 victory over the Yellow Jackets and followed with a 20-7 triumph over the Cardinals. Nine different Yeowomen got into the scoring act, led by senior Natalie Rauchle (Edina, MN/Edina) who tallied 13 of the team’s 39 goals.

OHIO WESLEYAN split a pair of non-conference contests last week to open up the 2018 season. The Bishops lost to John Carroll on Wednesday, before bouncing back to defeat Adrian on Saturday. Sloane Baumgartner (Naperville, IL/St. Francis) led OWU on the week with seven goals and three assists, including a two-goal, two-assist performance in the victory over Adrian.

WITTENBERG split a pair of contests last week as head coach Margaret Wolford earned her first victory as coach of the Tigers after a 15-11 win against Transylvania. Bre Donnelly (Pickerington, OH/North) led the Tigers with three goals and two assists in the win.

WOOSTER will open the 2018 season on Tuesday, March 13th on the road at the Redlands.
